My Must-have List for my Baby Love…

In Nash’s 3 1/2 sweet weeks of life, I already have a long list of “must-haves!” And, most of the things are so very different from when Quinn was tiny. It’s amazing to me how much things change/evolve in just 3 years!…Just look at my cluttered bedside…

Of course, there are the obvious things…
boppy
bouncy seat
play mat
bassinet in our room
mylecon {Target brand…so much cheaper}

And, then, the new things!…

1. Aden & Anais muslin blankets & burpies: AMAZING…especially for a summer baby! We have four of the smaller ones and one HUGE one…as well as the burpies. It’s all so amazing and they launder wonderfully! I think I want to get the washcloths…and I want to get another big one for Quinn to have!

2. Snap & Go: Why did I not have this with Quinn? Makes running errands so nice!!!
all by myself
3. Sit & Stand Love it!!! See how cute my boys are on on FIRST outing with just them and Mommy! It was quite the accomplishment! Quinn loves being so close to Nash…and he loves that he can sit or stand!

4. Gripe Water: Good stuff…and it tastes yummy too! I use it when he gets his MEAN hiccups!

5. Miracle Blanket: This was our saving grace with Quinn! And, we use it when Nash needs some help calming down. But, since he’s a tummy sleeper, he isn’t using it at night. I’m still so in love with it though.

6. Organic Cotton Nursing Pads: SOOOO soft and wonderful! So much better than the disposable ones.

7. Itzbeen: I LOVE this so much. Especially to time how long “itzbeen” since our last feeding and how long Nash slept! It’s so nice to not have to keep those times in my head!

8. California Baby Diaper Area Wash: I use this with EVERY diaper change. It smells so yummy!

9. Summer Bath Seat: So nice to have this compact little bath seat to put right in the tub. And, it folds up so nicely.

10. Huggies Little Snugglers: I feel like such a trader to have this on my list. I would totally consider myself a Pampers girl! But, because of the INSANE leaks, we tried these and I love them! They have lots more elastic to hold in the mess! :)

11.Chicco Car Seat: Hated Q’s car seat! LOVE this one! It’s perfect!!!

12. WubbaNub: SHUT YOUR MOUTH! Cutest thing I’ve ever seen…and Nash is already obsessed! If he continues to love it, I see us getting a few more “that” friends.

Last, but not least…MY most important things…
my Tervis: to keep my water cold all night long
my iPhone: to entertain me during the gazillion feedings each day
the Daddy: what would I do without his help and support?
and
the Big Brother!: the most precious, most helpful, most loving big brother of all time! Image6

A winner?!

After WAY too much research/internet browsing on this SILLY crib, I think that we may have found a winner. And, it's not even pictured in the post below! What do y'all think?!...
I love the rounded corners and the cool/modern look! And, the price is right!!! :)

But, in all honestly, when someone commented and left the idea for this crib I fell IN LOVE!!!! BUT, the $1300 price tag made me look elsewhere! Is it not DARLING though!?!?

The "fragile" part might be the cutest thing I've ever seen...and, if the side of Nash's crib is able to be seen when we decide it's place in the room, I MIGHT have to steal this idea! :)

Orange Crib Dreams/Question #5

So, I had big dreams! Dreams that Quinn’s red crib was going to easily be transformed to orange with a few cans of spray paint! … But, after multiple tries…and me twisting his arm to try JUST one more time…I let Matt throw in the towel! It just wouldn’t work! The paint bubbled, glopped, and looked horrible. After sanding, trying multiple types of paint, and inhaling way too many fumes (that I’m sure can’t be good for the baby either…I swear, Quinn’s was easy and didn’t smell AT ALL!), my orange crib dreams have vanished! …

So, I’ve been on the lookout! I want a modern crib! … And, I know it’s not practical, because I’m sure I won’t want a modern crib for our next baby…ESPECIALLY if when it’s a GIRL! ;) …But, Matt told me that we should get what we want now…and focus on that later! (GOODNESS…I love that man!)

All of that to say, I want it to be inexpensive…and COOL! … So, it’s time for another little survey!

Look at all of these choices and tell me what you think!!!

The first one is my favorite!!! But, of course, I think it’s sold out and there are no other stores that carry it! I’ve emailed the company and am waiting for a response! So, you can’t vote on this one…but, know it’s what I’m dreaming of!…

whiteespressoAnyway…here we go…
1. Traditional white with curved top! This one COULD be used for a baby girl and is an excellent price!!!

white

2. When you look at this cool one, understand a FEW things! There are NO mattress levels. So, we’ll have to bend ALL the way down to get baby out at the beginning. Or, buy a cheap mattress to raise him up. … Also, we have a chest of drawers already, but my thoughts are that WHO can have too many places for storage. And, it’s on HUGE sale! $199crib with drawers 3. This is my pricey-est option, so I”m trying not to love it too much! But, if it’s the best, I guess it’s ok! :) It’s a DwellStudio from Target. Dwell 4. Horrible picture…SUPER plain crib! NO FRILLS! The room decor would make the statement around this. plain white       5. Picture this next one in white…there’s just no picture! A little frilly, but nice…and another one that I would use for a girl too. traditional6. And, lastly, another simple…but not as simple as the PLAIN one above! … traditonal straightCan’t wait to hear your thoughts!!!

QUESTION #1!

dv236055 Hey blogging world!!!
In between now and Baby Nash’s arrival, I thought I’d use all of your amazing knowledge and wisdom to ask some questions about products/expectations/favorites/etc. I had a “first time mom” email me a survey to answer some of these questions, and it made me curious to ask the same ones! :) So, if you have an answer, please respond! I’d love to hear what you think!!!

Question #1:

What was a product(s) that you and
your baby couldn’t have lived without?

Quinn's {or Mommy's for Quinn} Christmas Wish List

This is a tough gift-giving age! Quinn seems to want everything and care about nothing at the same time. He'd seem to be just as happy with another Thomas train as he would an extravagant gift. So, this Christmas, I want to put some things on his wish list that I think will last! Things that will get play time! I don't know if we'll ever beat Santa's gift from last year (his train table), but we'll try! ... Here are some things that I'm thinking about puting on Q's list this year! And, some of these are his own wishes from some catalog browsing! ... Let me know if you know good or bad things about any of these items....and, what is Santa bringing your kiddos this year?

1. Fisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera: How fun for him to have his own blog posts!!!

2. How to Build an A: this book looks SO fun...and it contains the pieces so that he can build the letters himself!
3. Silicone Alphabet Letter Trays: to make crayons, jello, ice, candy and more! 4. A play kitchen: Is this super girly? I just think Q would have fun with it. And this one isn't very expensive and has lots of frills...and it's blue! :) When we talk to him about it, he seems VERY interested!

5. Either a Plasma Car or this Cars Scooter: any reviews? They both seem fun!!!

6. New labels: I like that they're little.

7. High Five Magazine: Quinn loves mail and so this will be a fun surprise every month!

8. An art smock: I'd love to find one that's vinal.

9. CARS Drift and Jump Track: This is a request from Q! This may be what he asks Santa for! :)

10. On top of these things, I feel that Thomas, Buzz and Lightening McQueen will be the star of other gifts! Quinn's train table is BY FAR his favorite thing!!! He plays with it EVERY DAY and loves each and every train! It's fun for his collection to grow!!!

So, now it's your turn...let me know what I should add/take away on Q's list and tell me what Santa is brining your little one this year!
