I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and a again…Having a Youth Pastor for a Daddy is SOOOO fun! One of the biggest blessings is to be able to go to camp as a family each Summer! This year, we were all so excited for a change of scenery at South Padre Island. Early on the morning of June 15th, we hit the road with lots of vans full of teenagers. Because I was one of the lucky drivers, Mammer & Slickpaw were in charge for driving ThePoeCrew…but we had some family fun at the stops along the way. Buccee’s is ALWAYS a fave….
In no time, we had made it to SPI and were checking into our rooms, eating dinner and exploring the beach at sunset. I could tell in those moments that it was going to be a blast being at the beach! My kids were already LOVING it!…and the waves were CRAZY huge!!!…
The week was full of memories and fun. Schlitterbahn was more fun than I expected and we went non-stop all day… 
One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting the Sea Turtle Rescue. Such amazing little creatures…and so amazing how there are people so dedicated to caring for them. We even adopted a hatchling and the boys proudly named him Pickles Poe! He’ll be born any day now…
We had some fun across the bridge one afternoon…
…and had countless memories on the beach! My kids were IN LOVE with it. They dug and built sand castles and splashed and laughed! It really was dreamy watching all three of them have such an amazing time. I think beach trips have officially become an annual thing. {And, hopefully next year, Bliss won’t eat as much sand!}

And oh my, this one! She was too cute for words! I never imaged she’d love it as much as she did. She’d lay in the sand on her belly and just rub the sand…with big smiles! Happy girl is such a beach lover!

Look at all of our “grown up friends” that got to go on “vacation” with us! My boys love being around all of these cool kids and I’m thankful that I got to be a part of camp while Mammer & Slickpaw took care of my littles….

Having fun at Celebration…these kiddos have no idea how blessed they are to get to be a part of such fun things…and I’m so thankful that the name of Jesus is something they hear about ALL of the time. May they always love living life while worshiping Him…

By Friday, we were (sort of) ready to go home. But, we had hundreds of memories to take with us.
