Every year, the theme of Quinn’s party has been an obvious choice. And, this year was NO different. For months, Q has been talking about his Lego party…and, when we moved to a nearby area, we quickly decided that there was NO better place to have his 5th birthday celebration than Legoland Discovery Center.
The invite was the first part to tackle. And, Matt, once again, did a fabulous job! Birthdays are
one of the many times that I love having a “graphics guy” for a hubby!
Excitement for the party day was beyond explanation. He couldn’t wait to play with all of his buddies at such a cool place…and, he LOVED helping me plan all of the fun details for the big day! The invite was the first part to tackle. And, Matt, once again, did a fabulous job! Birthdays are

Finally, on Friday, March 23rd, we loaded up the Swaggon to take all of the supplies to Legoland and await his guests. At about 4:00, they started coming…and, by 4:30, we were entering the Lego Factory for the party to begin!!!
When we entered the Factory, the birthday boy got lots of special treatment and opportunities to volunteer. He was BEYOND hyper and having a blast! Watching him with his buds was such a hoot.
Then, it was straight to Kingdom Quest. Q rode with Matt, Nash, Cade and Cruse. And, he even WON! Such a fun ride!!!
After that, the kids got to play in the big play area in the middle of Legoland before it was time to go to our party room. They ran their little hearts out and had a blast!
When the kids entered, they dined on cokes, pizza and marshmallow pops! And, after they ate, we got a surprise visit from Buddy, the Lego guy! Most of the boys were SO excited…and, I was thrilled that they did such a fun thing for my bday boy!
I loved walking around and seeing all of the cute party guests. What a blessed little boy Q is to have so many sweet friends…
After some time, it was time for cake!! Q requested at Lemon cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes…cracks a Momma up! But, he wanted it decorated with Legos, of course! He also had a Cookie Cake for those that weren’t quite as big of a fan of bundt cakes. Ha.
{And, two funny stories…
Right before we sang, the party lady came in and said that we couldn’t light candles due to policy. I was annoyed, but complied. (reluctantly!) Thankfully, Slickpaw found an app on his phone that had a #5 candle to blow out! Nothing like being a child of this day in age! :)

And, half way through singing the birthday song, I realized that we weren’t recording it! So, we finished and then made everyone re-sing so that I could have it on film! Mercy.}
{Discussing the fact that I needed Matt to tell everyone to re-sing it!!!…}

After Q passed out his favors, we headed out for more fun! We got to see the awesome 3D movie, Clutch Powers and then ride Merlin’s Apprentice! Both, so fun and LOVED by all!!!
By that time, it was about 7:00 and some friends had to be on their way. But, we stayed with some of our guests and enjoyed more time playing…we closed the place down! The boys LOVED building cars to race…and playing in all of the blocks!

It really was the MOST precious and perfect party for my big FIVE year old! Just like every party, I loved standing back and watching my sweet, first born enjoy every single moment. I am so thankful that we were able to be a part of such sweet memoires…and am so thankful for all of the family and friends that were able to attend.

What a wonderful party! I am considering the same for my son's 5th here in Atlanta. I wanted to know: where did you get your son's lego shirt?
