On Friday night, July 1st, Quinn and I had a date night. Our church put on a Mommy/Son Date Night to the Rough Riders game in Frisco…and, we were so excited for a night out…JUST US!
But, I knew the heat would be UNBEARABLE at 7:00, so we took a little detour to the mall. I became the hero of date night with a surprise trip to the Lego Store…and then he chose Panda Express for dinner. He loves it!
After stalling for about an hour, we headed to the ballpark. We stopped in the gift shop for a little sussy with our “free money” that we got with our tickets and picked up our free hat! … By the time we found our seats, the sun was ALMOST behind the stands…perfect timing, if you ask me!
We had a great time chatting with friends...running up to talk to the other team in the bullpen…watching the mascot, Deuce…eating Dippin’ Dots…running in the outfield grass…and just enjoying being at the ballpark. Funny enough, we watched very little of the game, but it was a great night with my sweet love.
I hope and pray that “date night” is something we do for years to come.
And, Daddy did a great job taking care of Nasher at home. I got this picture right after we arrived at the ballpark…
