The month of June is ALL about Daddy. It starts with Father’s Day…and, this year we woke Daddy up with his special slideshow of so many of the memories that this year held. It’s amazing what a difference a year can make! Since Nash had been sick, he and I stayed home from church…but, we were dressed and ready to go when Matt and Q came home. We had a fabulous lunch at BJ’s …and they even gave Matt a free Father’s Day 2011 mug. So fun!
Before we all got in our Sunday comfies, I snapped a few pics of my three guys! Could I have a more handsome bunch?
After gifts (including his annual picture, of course) and a lazy afternoon, I gave Matt and the boys a new book for bedtime. It was precious…and watching them together melted my heart. It was a great Father’s Day…and, this year, I am even more thankful for the amazing man of God that our sweet boys have to look up to.
Then, on Saturday the 25th, it was all about Matt again!!! We had a great day celebrating his 34th Birthday!!! The morning started with the babysitter arriving to take care of Nash so that we could take a trip to the “fancy theatre” to see Cars 2. We had all been looking forward to it for months…
I love the fact that we have our own comfy chair, blanket and table. And, I came stocked with Cars snacks! It’s such a treat to watch a movie in such style!!
Then, after an afternoon of shopping, shopping and MORE shopping for the birthday boy (I swear he LOVES to shop more than me!), we came home to decorate for Daddy’s party. Quinn had decided weeks ago that he needed a Cars 2 party. We made Daddy hide in the bedroom while we got ready.
The day ended with dinner at home and some of Matt’s buddies coming over to watch the US soccer game. It was an easy day but a great one. And, I hope that Matt never doubts how very loved he is! Happy 34th Birthday, MJP!
