Beauty Redefined

Dandilion 007Today, when I picked up my big boy from school, he ecstatically RAN out to the hallway to greet me…just like always.

But, this time he had a little shriveled up dandelion in his hand. He told me that he had picked it for me.

I hugged him and thanked him.

Then, when we were walking down the hallway to the car, he said, “I got you that flower at recess today, Mommy. And I kept it in my pocket all day. I’d feel it in there and it would make me happy because I knew it would make you happy.”

My sweet love. His words. His heart. It blows me away. He blesses me more than I could have ever dreamed. And, that sad little dandelion became a part of one of my sweetest mommy moments. That not so pretty flower was so very beautiful to me.

I so agree. I still remember the first time my Cullen brought me a flower from the yard and told me he picked it just for me, because he knew I liked flowers, and "Just because I love you." Melts my heart. I love having boys, and the flowers they bring me bless my heart so much. Precious! This post just made me smile and I wanted to share!!!:)
