Our Precious Commitment

On Sunday, November 7th, Matt, Quinn (our families) and I stood in front of our church to dedicate Nash. Even though we dedicated him to Jesus the moment he was born, I love the sweet ceremony. I love that we have the opportunity to show everyone that we promise to do our very best to raise our baby boy the way that the Bible instructs.

Just like Quinn’s dedication, I felt extremely blessed and honored to be a Mommy. And, even though the responsibility is huge to train Nash up in the way he should go (Proverbs 22:6), I gladly accept!

Here are all of us that dedicated our babes together. (3 of which are in Nash’s playgroup!!…How sweet is that!?)

   And, here we are showing off our sweet Chubber Bubs. He slept through the whole thing!!! 
       

Funny story: Right before we went up on stage, Quinn told us that he needed to poop. But, we (nervously) told him that he was just going to have to hold it. Sadly, after about 5 minutes up there, there was no more waiting…so Mammer met me at the edge of the stage and took him potty.

While they were gone, Pastor Randy introduced all of the babes and their families. (See above pic of Matt holding up Nash…and notice that Quinn is not there!) And, moments after our introduction, Quinn came running back on stage. At the time he joined us, Randy was finishing introducing Everley (to my left.)

It was at that moment that Quinn looked at Randy and yelled, “WHAT ABOUT NASH!? What about MY brother?!” I laughed, while covering his mouth! What in the world!?!?!? Sweetly, Randy reintroduced Nash so that Quinn could hear…and praised him for being such a good big brother! {And, thankfully, we have it all on tape…hilarious!}

I loved watching Quinn while we prayed for Nash. He really is such a darling Big Brother. We are so very blessed to have him!!!  

Quinn was SOOO proud of Nash’s gifts…his Bible and his lullaby CD. He showed him and us over and over again!>>>

And, Matt and I were so thankful that both sets of grandparents were there to witness the special event. After the ceremony, we recreated our pictures that we took on Quinn’s dedication day! …Same spot…just one more precious boy added to the mix…

Quinn’s Dedication: April 29, 2007: 1 month old
