Since all of the little guys wouldn’t quite make it to midnight to ring in the New Year, Cara hosted the most precious “Noon Years Eve” party. It was complete with LOTS of yummy treats, the obligatory “Happy New Year” headbands, party horns and a crazy amount of kiddos. I’d have to say that, in the midst of the chaos, it was TOO much fun…chatting with friends and laughing at all of the goings on! … The funniest part, hands down, was the photo shoot that took place with our little countdown. Hilarious! …And, we look forward to celebrating the “Noon” Year for many years to come! …
Here I am with our playgroup princess…I think pink looks good on me! :) …
The original three…Quinn, Reid and Tanner…
Chapman… My little party go-er…And, the photo shoot…
It started ok…just a few moms directing kids and getting everyone in place… Here are 5 of our 8…they’re used to this, can’t you tell!?… Reid {left, in the jeans and orange} tries to escape… …but, he comes back, refuses to wear the headband any longer…other kids start to revolt, babies start to slip a little and Cole (floor, grey sweater} starts to get a little upset… …Reid tries to put his headband back on with no success…Cole begins to scream…others start to cry… …Reid gives up…babies really start to slip…Cole gets EVEN more sad… …our guys keep on like champs…Landon & Tanner think Cole is funny……OK…enough already! :) HAPPY NOON YEAR!!!
Then, after meeting Daddy for lunch and coming home for naps, we woke up to get ready and go to dinner with some friends. After a fun dinner at Brooklyn’s Pizza, we headed over to the Wiebe’s house for some dessert and Rock Band. I had never played, and must admit that it was SUPER fun!…Matt was GREAT on lead vocals, by the way! :) …Then, at about 10:30, we came home to put Q to bed and ring in the new year with Carson Daley! …Nothing fancy…nothing over-rated…just the way I like it! :) New Year’s Eve is fun, but after years of trying to make it something spectacular, I’ve deciding that being with friends and watching the ball drop in my own living room is really the best way to ring in the New Year. …. So, here’s to Twenty-Ten! It’s going to be a good one!
