Another Little PoeFam Giveaway

A while back my {"carpet man" for 40+ years} Dad had a sample of this cove base (it's the stuff that goes around the bottom of a wall...kind of like a baseboard...that you would see in doctor's offices, stores, etc) lying around his store. Since he wasn't needing it anymore, he asked me if I wanted it for Quinn. And, since it was so fun and colorful, I took it. But, I haven't used it much! I thought about writing letters on it, but he has plenty of other things that teach him his letters! ...So, yesterday, we sorted them by color families...and then Matt had the great idea to have Q match his trains to them! It was fun and Q did great! ...But, I'm needing MORE IDEAS! ...So, here's the deal!!!...Give me an idea...WHAT FUN THING COULD I DO WITH THIS STUFF? ... And, sometime next week, if you gave me an idea, I'll put your name in a drawing and the winner will get their own set! Can't wait to hear your ideas! :)

In each color family he could learn shading and sort them darkest to lightest or the other way! What a great activity!

you could get a big bulletin board or foam board and have him pick the colors that are his favs , thenaffix them to the board and go through magazines and have him find pictures of things that are the same color, cut them out - then make a game of matching them up :)

write scriptures on them.

My little man likes to sort our letters and numbers so I'd write the alphabet and numbers 1-10...not very creative but in our house that would be a hit and he would learn so much !

Make smaller sets of them (is this possible?) When you are out at the store, driving around town, eating out, have him match his colors to things he sees out. My son turned 2 in February and he cooperates with me so much better out in public if we "play" this game!

use an exact-o knife to cut out a different shape in each one. keep the shapes in a ziplock and pull them out at restaurants, etc. for quinn to match the shape to the correct cut-out where it fits.

Get some large zip lock bags and hang the colors on each of them. Then have a scavenger hunt around the house to find items that are the same color that can go in each bag. Great for vocabulary, sorting, and of course some higher level thinking (o:
