Is it time?

…to move our little man to a big boy bed? He’s still doing great in his crib, but we’re kind of ready for the transition. We’re going to continue with the vintage sports theme…since he has so much fun stuff…but need your help deciding on the options below!!!…B22R_Youth_Group 875T-1 Ice_Cream_fight,_mommy,_and_applesauce_068

I vote for number 2. Love it!

Know that I'm going to be completely no help! :) A. because I've obviously never tried to move a kiddo from crib to bed so not sure how hard that is, B. I like the LOOK of #2 the best, but having a pullout trundle would be so fun when he gets old enough to have sleepovers! And finally...I'm suspicious of your REASON for wanting to?! Anything I should know?!?

I love number 1. I would love that one for my little man but I'm not quiet ready to move him from his crib.

I would definitely leave in crib if it were mine, but I like #1 best if you move him. I've heard life is rough if you move them before they are 3...most of my friends have done this and say it was a mistake. So we are waiting until our 2 year old is 3...but will be very excited to move him!

It depends on your kid. If he's obedient, and you think he'll stay in his bed, go for it. If he's not climbing out of his crib or wouldn't stay in a big bed, keep him in the crib. I think J will live in his crib until he's 10! B was in a toddler bed before 2, with no problems. Now, as for your choices, I like #2

I love Choice # 2 - That is the one I had my eye on when we moved my son to big boy bed, but I would have needed the entire set because it wouldn't match his existing furniture and hubs freaked out when he heard the price of it all!

hmm i love the beds,, choice 1 gives you more storage. but another thing is,,, dont feel you have to move him from his crib.. he is your baby,,,, willie is still in his crib and does great. jackie was in hers till 3,,, so do it when you feel he is ready,,

We moved Maelynn when she was that age and she did fine. We had to I was pregnant with Beclynn and on bedrest so I could not get her in and out of the crib. But with Beclynn we are looking at waiting until she is 3 - she is a little more "wild" and we need her caged as long as possible :)

I vote for #1 with a chain link fence around it. It is tall. Might hurt if you fall out. I guess you could put carpet padding around the outside on the floor. About 10 layers. Don't want my buddy to get hurt.

If he isnt trying to get out of his crib, my opinion is to leave him in it. Camden stayed in hers until 1 month before she turned 3 and did GREAT!! Claire, on the other hand, is a different story. We had to move her because I wanted her to get used to sleeping in a big bed early enough to be able to transition her into her sister's room before baby #3 arrived. She did pretty good at first, but once she got used to it, she was up ALL THE TIME! She would play and pull stuff out of her drawers. She turned 2 in August and we moved her the end of January, so she was 29 months. Just my opinion..but if you decide to move him, my vote is for bed #2.

Hey!!! I love looking at your ideas for big boy furniture! We are shopping for Tanner's big boy room right now, too! I think both options are great- you can't go wrong! I love the idea of bed #1 with a trundle- we are getting a trundle bed for T. But, I also really love the look of bed #2. So, basically, I am no help!!!! I love them both! Can't wait to see what you pick!!!

I love number one. We are this stage too!

Love option #2! Very versatile. :)

P.S. where is option #2 from? Brady will be moving this direction soon enough and I need some good kids' furniture sources...

I love bed #2 but I vote to leave him in his crib as long as he is safe and happy there. We moved Addie early and it was really hard. This time around I'll be keeping Doak in a crib as long as possible!

We moved Creighton last month at two & a half, only when he decided to jump out of his crib two nights in a row. He's actually adapted fairly well, besides coming to my room a few times some nights, but we need the crib & the nursery for Griffin, so it worked out well on his timing. A big boy bed and a new room is quite a bit for a little tot!

I like the trundle (and wanted one for Creighton), but I like the look of the black one.

Good luck!

Something else I just thought about- which bed will work for bed rails? Not all of them will, just a word of hard-learned wisdome.
