{Ephesians 4: 1-6}
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

When Matt planned the year long theme {WALK} for the youth group this year, we decided that it would be great to use the same theme for our family to focus on for the 2014-2015 school year. Even thought the concepts were big...and the words were big...I felt that God would speak through this scripture and allow my boys to understand just what they should. As always, I was amazed at how God brought up the truths of this verse into our everyday ALL of the time! He also brought so much light to the scripture...and I felt that my boys really started to understand the meaning throughout the course of the year.
On the car ride to school each day (only about 10 minutes), we started memorizing the scripture and talking about the meaning. As the year went on, we'd add more and more. At the end of winter, I felt like they knew it perfectly and we were able to say the whole thing on the way to school each day. It blessed my heart so much to hear them say the whole things so confidently. I truly believe that they will hide this Word in their heart for all of eternity...and I'm so thankful that I was challenged with them.
