I’ve created a monster with this one. The second he saw the Lego Movie, he was all about planning his 7th Birthday Party…Lego/Lego Movie Style. I love that he loves the details…because goodness knows that I do! And, even though this party seemed a little thrown together, I love how it all turned out! We were able to recycle so much stuff from previous parties and 3 different Etsy stores came to the rescue (see end of post) to add some fun touches.
But, the main problem wasn’t what or when…it was WHO? When you’ve only lived somewhere for a few months, how do you know who to invite to your party? …You don’t! So…we invited EVERY little boy from his class and LOTS of little boys from the first grade Sunday School roll. It had the potential of being HUGE. We explained our situation on the invite and got excited when “yes” RSVP’s started rolling in!
Then, on the morning of the 22nd, we we woke up ready to host an AWESEOME Jammie Lego Party!
At 9:30, our jammie clad guests started arriving…with gifts…even though we told them not to!
And, the fun began!!! It’s funny how the things you think will be “wahhh wah” end up being such fun for the boys! Like coloring their own Lego guy! They loved it! And, when they arrived, they either did that or just had some “free building” time!…
After it looked like most of the guests had arrived, we started the “organized” (ha.) games! The first was a tower building contest. They had to see who could build the tallest tower in the shortest amount of time…and it had to stand! Once again, they loved it. I love my big boy working so hard…
Then, on to Lego Bingo…a HUGE hit…
After all of that building, the guys had worked up an appetite. So, it was breakfast time…donuts, sausage balls, pigs in a blanket, fruit, juice, Yoo-hoo and more.
Then, we played a little “build and pass” game. They had to build until the music stopped and then pass their creation on for the next person to add to. It was a little chaotic…but no one seemed to mind.
I’d say it ended up being a great turn out. We were so grateful!!! …
Last, but not least, we headed out in the backyard for a little piñata fun! It was Quinn’s first one to have at his party and he was the first to attempt to bust Emmett.
Even though he didn’t break it, we weren’t able to make it through the whole line until Emmett was almost destroyed and couldn’t be hung up any longer. So, we let Nash take a few swings before Matt did the final honors.
The kids all ran to get lots of candy and they were each to find one numbered baggie so that they could claim their cool party favor before they left.
It was only an hour and a half…but it was full of fun! And this preggo Momma was thankful it was great…and thankful it could be checked off of the list!
And, because I must give credit where credit is due, please check out the amazing Etsy stores that made this party so easy for me…Party Posh Printables was responsible for the darling invitations, thank you notes and donut toppers that I also used for the numbers in the piñata. Darling stuff at her store…you must check it out for your next party!…
Aldi My Shop made the AMAZING piñata! Seriously, it was so unique and fun and SOOO well made! They make a lot of fun options of piñatas you’d never be able to find at the store. Be sure to check them out the next time you need a piñata!
And, last but not least, Tu Kit Design was the one who designed many of the printables including the banners, water bottle and coffee cup labels and fun donut hole boxes. You’ll love her selection and kits she offers for parties!

Brittany this is fabulous yet again!!! I'm super impressed :)
I'm trying to find TuKit designs and can't find her on etsy. Do you have another contact for her?
Also, where did you get the fun tablecloths?
Thanks!
Shannon
