Ten short/long years ago, I walked down a red carpeted aisle at 2:00 in the afternoon to say “I do” to the man of my dreams. I had known him for a short year and four months {and had loved him almost that long} and was certain that we would have a lifetime of happiness.

 


And, as much as I knew and dreamed of how amazing our lives would be together, I had NO idea what was to come. I had no idea how I could love him more than I did as I held his hand on the streets of New York on our Honeymoon!
But, somehow, by the grace of God, my love for him grows more every single year.


Over the course of our first year as Mr. & Mrs., I fell in love with how much fun we had. I had a new roommate…and, it was A BOY! And, it was dreamy. We would often look at each other and wonder when it was going to get hard? When are we going to fight? When are we going to need our space? And, we’re still waiting.

Sure, we have our moments, but it truly is amazing to be married to my very best friend!

I am so thankful for the way he loves me…and for the way he wants everyone to know it. (and, even when he makes me blush by saying stuff from stage WAY too often!)

I’m thankful that he’s humble…and quick to apologize if he’s wrong…then ask for forgiveness.

I’m beyond thankful for the Daddy that he is to our boys. He loves them so well…and is showing them how to be such amazing husbands by the way he loves me in front of them. 

And, more than anything, I’m thankful for the way he loves and serves Jesus Christ. He inspires me with his heart, his knowledge and his faith. He truly is an amazing man of God…and, I’m humbled that I get to walk along side of him as he does ministry.
I am blessed and honored to be the wife of Matthew Jared Poe. I love that so many people know me because I carry that title. And, I am so thankful that I get to wake up every day and chose to love him more. May it never stop…and may I never take it for granted.

I love you, Matthew Poe. Thank you for being my TGTBT for 10 amazing years!
