For one of my 9th anniversary gifts (since it was the “leather” anniversary), Matt surprised me with tickets to the very first Baylor game of the season vs. SMU. So, on Sunday after church, we went home to change into our Green & Gold and drove to Waco to cheer on our BEARS!
Since we arrived early, we had some fun around campus before heading to the stadium. It was H.O.T., but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the sights of my beautiful school. I’ll always love it so much! It was also SO very fun to see some of our kids from the youth group…and to visit Collins dorm! What sweet memories I have from Rm. 116! {And, P.S. for my RMY: two DARLING girls are living in our room this year!}
Once we arrived at Floyd Casey, we found our seats only to sadly discover that the expensive seats Matt had bought were in the middle of the student section! We were so disappointed that our boys weren’t going to be able to see and that we were going to have to stand the whole time. But, after some finagling, we found ourselves in the inzone and LOVED our seats over there. It’s where we’ll buy them from now on. So fun to be so close to the action!
Once the sun finally went behind the stadium, we had a BLAST!!! It was so fun to cheer on the Baylor Bears and my boys COULD NOT have been more proud and excited each time they got to “Sic ‘em Bears!” Baylor ended up SMOKING the Ponies…which was icing on the cake for our super fun night! Here’s to making this a tradition that our boys always look forward to.
