I’m So Glad He’s Not a Girl!!!

Priceless
Let’s be really honest!…
I wanted Nash to be a girl.
I though that if he was a girl, I could have a third and be surprised…because I TOTALLY wouldn’t care what the outcome was.

But, about 13 weeks into my pregnancy, I found this leather, green chair that I fell in love with. And, even though I didn’t get it, it ended up being the inspiration for the little boy’s room I started dreaming in my head.

And, to my surprise, when we heard, “It’s a BOY!” at our 20 week sonogram, there were NO feelings of sadness. Only excitement.

As my pregnancy progressed, I got more and more excited about Quinn having a baby brother! A buddy for life. A bestman. And, I was thankful that all of those cute clothes of Quinn’s were going to get to be worn again.

Over the past few weeks, the thought of, “I’m SO glad he’s not a girl,” has popped in my head a hundred times. To watch my boys play…and be boys…melts my heart into a BIG puddle on the floor. They’ve reached a new level of basketball playin’, wrestlin’, sword fightin’ brothers! I hope and pray that they always love and admire each other as much as they do RIGHT now. Oh how I love brothers!!!

I have been reading your blog for a while now and I don't think I have ever commented! I have two boys and I feel the same way that you do. We waited to find out if our second was a boy or girl and I was so thankful when he was a boy. I love watching the bond between my two boys and I pray everyday that they will grow up and stay best friends. And I did get my girl on our third try and she is the perfect addition to our family. Now if I could only convince my husband to go for a fourth :)

Such a great post! I am pregnant with boy #2 and am thrilled to be having another boy! Part of me wanted a girl of course- big hair bows and lots of pink! And I really thought it was a girl, which actually made me so sad for my first boy....I wanted him to have the kind of relationship yours do! And I am thankful he will!

I am so happy my second was another boy as well. Of course, I've always wanted to have a little girl to dress up but the love my boys have for each other is priceless. When I found out I was pregnant with my second I hoped that it was another boy especially since they were only going to be 14 months apart. Now, with a two year old amd a 10 month old they are constantly playing together. Harrison (my youngest) wants to do everything Lincoln does.
