Metulkumar.

For a long time now, Matt and I have been talking about how exciting it would be to have a sweet child to sponsor through Compassion International. But, we wanted to wait until our kids were old enough to really be able to play a part. So, we decided that, for Quinn’s 5th birthday, we would give him his own little buddy…someone to write to, pray for and get to know.

We were blown away by his excitement and eagerness to know more about his little friend, Metulkumar. And, the most exciting part…we were able to find a friend that has the EXACT same birthday as our sweet Quinn…March 27, 2007! Q thought that was CRAZY cool!
And, since we got our packet in the mail about Metulkumar, Quinn’s precious little heart has been stirred. He prays for him at bedtime, at every meal and often in between. He thinks about him during the day and wants to find him special things to send in the mail. He’ll often ask questions about him and is starting to realize just how different their lives are. But, there is one thing we KNOW they have in common…a birthday. And, daily, we are praying that they will also share a Savior. We also hope and pray that miles from Texas to India won’t keep these two from building a dear and precious friendship rooted in Jesus Christ.
