My sweet baby is ONE! It really is hard to believe!!! And, 10 days after his real birthday, we got to have a party with many of our closest friends and family at our house!
And, what a fun celebration it was! When it came to deciding the theme, it was an absolute NO brainer! Mickey Mouse has been Nash’s obsession since he was about 6 months old, and after out trip to Disney World, we couldn’t wait to throw a fun Mickey Mouse bash!
The invite went in the mail a few weeks before the big day…with fun Mickey confetti inside! Then, on July 16th, it was time to party! Guests started arriving soon after Nash’s morning nap. A fun sign greeted them at the door and an almost life sized Mickey greeted them as soon as they walked in the door!…along with the most precious birthday boy you’ve ever seen, of course!
And, the table was set to party as well! Lots of fun picture from Nash’s birthday shoot and from Disney World decorated the place…and lots of food was ready to be consumed. There were also Mickey ears hats ready for each party goer. …Planning and making décor for my boy’s parties is SO much fun for me…the fun ribbon curtain above our bar, the fabric pennants, the picture banner and more! I loved EVERY second that I spent being crafty! :)
I had lots of fun planning the menu for the party as well.
Here’s what everyone dined on…
*Strawberry Lemonade
*Avocado Lime Pasta with Crackers
*Watermelon
*Tomato/Mozzarella bites
*Various Mickey PB sandwiches
*Yummy Garden Pasta
*Chocolate Pretzel Bites
*Chocolate Drizzled Mickey Rice Krispies
*Red Velvet Cupcakes
*Marble Cupcakes
*Mickey pizzas courtesy of Durkin’s Pizza
And, my birthday boy was such a cutie! He loved socializing with the guests and never got overwhelmed with the crazy amount of people at his house. And, the partiers was so cute in their hats! …
It wasn’t long before Nash was STARVED! {Seriously, what else is new!} He got grumpy and needed food fast! Uncle Brooks, Mammer, Daddy and I took turns feeding the chubs and cutting up pizza slice after pizza slice! Needless to say, he was a happy boy!!!
After lunch, it was present time…the big kids had a BLAST playing with all of Quinn’s toys and trying on all of his cool costumes while the rest of us socialized! Nash did a good job opening gifts and Big Brother was right there to help with every single one! He was so happy for his brother and would get so excited with each gift. Such a sweet love!
And, after Nash made a HAUL with so many great gifts, it was time for the BEST part. CAKE!!! Our sweet friend, Amy, did a great job making Nash the PERFECT Mickey smash cake!! And, after a little help, he finally dug in!
Oh how I love my sweet Chubber Bubs and am so thankful that so many friends came to celebrate with us!!!
After the partying could last no more, Nash made sure that no one left emptyhanded. The grown ups and families got yummy candy popcorn…cherry, banana, blue raspberry and pina colada! Mmmm mmm! And, Nash’s sweet baby friends left with a fun, hand crocheted Mickey or Minnie finger puppet! I love them so and hope the babies have lots of laughs playing with them!
What a blessed little boy Nash Baylor Poe is…and what a fun and memorable day we all had celebrating his precious first year!
