Nash: 3 months old

My Sweet Chubber Bubs,
This might be my favorite baby age…and I am loving every single moment of being your Mommy! This month you have come alive and are more fun than I ever could have dreamed. To see your big smile, your dimple in your right cheek, your gorgeous sparkly eyes, your chubbiness, and to hear your laugh completely melts my heart. You are beautiful…you are a hoot…and you are all mine! There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t look at you and sit in awe of that thought.I am so very blessed.
This month you started laughing! Is there anything sweeter? The first laugh was while you were “skiing” on my legs. And, immediately after the first one, your big brother got it on video. It’s precious. Now you laugh a lot. Mostly at your Daddy. And when you get tickled. You have the most hilarious deep and raspy laugh. It seems to fit you so well.

Your sleep schedule is really too good to be true. You’re ready for bed in the 8 o’clock hour and (sometimes after a 10 or 11 o’clock “dream feed”) you’ll sleep for 9 or 10 hours! It’s amazing!!! You are still sleeping in our room in a bassinet…and I’m just too lazy to put you in your own room. And, I must admit that I love having you so near. You do nap in your crib, though. Usually 1 1/2 or 2 hours after you wake, you’ll nap for a good 2 hours. And, then you nap again in the afternoon…sometimes while we’re out and about…sometimes for 2 or 3 hours in your bed. When the evening comes, so does your fussy time. And, you’ll often cat nap in our arms before we put you down for the night. We are so thankful that you love your sleep…I’m sure your size doesn’t hurt! :)

As far as eating goes, you eat about every 3 1/2 to 4 hours during the day. You’re at that cute stage where you have to stop eating to look up and smile at me and it melts my heart. How can I not smile back? But, when I do, you get distracted and have a hard time finishing your meal! …You’ve had a good amount of bottles too. (probably 6-8) You LOVE formula and I’m shocked. Your brother would NEVER have anything to do with it. And, as much as I love feeding you, it is nice to get a break every now and then!

I’ve loved watching you start to play this month. You are doing so much better to give Mommy some time while you play in your bouncy seat or your play mat. You love to smile at the smile star on your play mat…just like your brother did. You love smiling at your toys on your car seat and have fun when Quinn and I show you all of your toys when you’re on your changing table. The thing that you love the most are your little loveys. It started with a little yellow duck lovey and now your favorite is an orange puppy lovey that Mammer & Slickpaw brought you. You love to cuddle it and pull it up to your face. It’s so sweet to watch! You are also taking your “that” a little more. You don’t sleep with it, but seem to like it from time to time.
Thankfully the fussy baby in you is getting less fussy. You still often H.A.T.E. your car seat. Sometimes, you’ll scream the entire time you’re in it…to the point of big tears and a completely sweaty body. I feel that by now you’d have realized that you have to stay buckled in, but I guess I’m expecting too much from your little 3 month old self. … The evenings are the hardest times, but you’re usually just tired. It’s true that you LOVE to be held the best!!! As long as you’re in someone’s arms, you’re pretty happy. And, when you’re happy, we’re happy too!
Since Quinn started to school this month, you and Mommy have gotten lots of sweet quality time. We’ll play…talk…run errands…and I love that I get the chance to just sit and enjoy you. I love talking to you as we’re out and about and love when 1:45 rolls around and we go to pick up your Big Brother from school. He’s always so happy to see you!
Mercy…I love you, Sweet Nash. Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives. I can’t wait to see what the next month holds.

Kisses and Hugs,
Your Mommy

Oh my goodness...so sweet! I think this little guy looks like his momma while Quinn looks a heck of a lot like his daddy!

Hello, I was blog hopping and I ended up here. :) Do you mind if I ask where you got the "month markers" that you use in your photos? They are so sweet! I'm expecting another little one in January and think they are such a great idea! Thanks in advance if you find time to respond.

Thank you for your reply! I've put them on our Kaboodle wish list so I can decide later. I have 3 boys and we're waiting to find out what #4 is. If it happens to be a girl I just know I'll want the girlie ones. :)
Thanks again!
