‘Twas the Night Before School…

If you know me, you know that I’m OBSESSED with traditions! And, I want them to be started from the beginning so that we can say “we always did that!” So, when the first day of school started approaching, I needed to think of the traditions that I wanted our family to begin…and continue for always.

As I searched through some of my tagged favorites, I came across this idea!…Immediately I knew it was the perfect Night Before School tradition to begin.

Here’s what you do…
Collect lots of little “sussies” and lots of crepe paper!
Then, start with your favorite item and wrap crebe paper around it…forming a ball…and adding more items as you wrap. (see here for a good step by step view!) Sept3,4 002

When all items are inside, secure with tape and add something fun to decorate the outside! Sept3,4 005

Then, give it to the bathed and jammied school boy!!!…

I’m so excited that this is something my kids will learn to look forward to on the night before school. (I mean, can’t you just see how much fun this could be in college…gift cards for gas, restaurants, etc!!!) I think it’s the perfect tradition…and it was so much fun to do!!!first day of school 2010 010
