Nash’s Nursery

“You can build cabinets and cupboards, hang expensive draperies, buy a new television, lay a rug; but for really doing something to your home, there's nothing like rolling in a baby bed."

It’s finished!…for now, anyway! :) It has been a work in progress…and, since my nesting instinct didn’t kick in quite as strong this time around, it wasn’t finished overnight. But, we have had MORE fun getting things ready for our littlest man! With the help of a friend, the room is beautifully painted! And, thanks to my two handymen (and their trusty dog, Kia), a cool new light fixture is hung and all of the furniture is assembled perfectly! Goal, Cruse and MORE 006 Life at Home, Working on Nash's room 039 Life at Home, Working on Nash's room 034firetruck, Mommy digs my kicks, building 012  Every time I would work on the room during the day, the big brother was close by. One afternoon, he felt it was much more fun to watch from a distance while jumping on his bed! :)…32 weeks & Nash's Shower 005After all of that stuff was complete, we got to focus on the FUN stuff. And, by we, I mean us and Slickpaw! …He has searched for and collected the COOLEST things that make Nash’s room truly one of a kind. From hubcaps to skateboards to hood ornaments to magazine ads…this little boy has it ALL!

For those of you that don’t know, from 1950-1956, there was a car called the Nash Rambler. And, during that time it became quite the popular little car…so much so that there’s a song about it! :) … There’s also a skateboard brand called NASH. It was BIG in the 80’s…and they are pretty collectable!

Anyway, when we realized that our little boy’s name was “famous” for those two reasons, we went with a retro feel for his room. It was SUCH a different direction from Quinn’s…which made it fun…and is so personal for him! I truly think it’s full of things that he’ll cherish for always!

So, come on in…and feel privileged!!!…you’re getting to see it before the owner does!!! …

He also did the fun “That’s how I roll” print…and another cool print will be added to the other frame once we know Nash’s stats! …More Swim Lessons, Daddy's 33rd, Nash's Room, and More 051More Swim Lessons, Daddy's 33rd, Nash's Room, and More 061   More Swim Lessons, Daddy's 33rd, Nash's Room, and More 052More Swim Lessons, Daddy's 33rd, Nash's Room, and More 053More Swim Lessons, Daddy's 33rd, Nash's Room, and More 054 More Swim Lessons, Daddy's 33rd, Nash's Room, and More 056

Overall, we are so proud of this sweet little room! (Even though I don’t think pictures EVER do a room justice!) We love to go inside and stare at it…just dreaming of the little boy that will soon come home to see it! We love that it’s something he’ll grow into and that we’ll be able to add to all of the fun collections! …So, for now, we’ll enjoy the fact that it’s spotless and all brand new…but, oh how we’re anxious for it to be Nash’s home!

It is so cute! You and Matt are amazing. I hope you're feeling good these last few weeks and soaking up all the final minutes of Quinn's "littleness." He's going to seem SO big and grown up in a few weeks.
Can't wait to see pictures of your new little man.
