Easter Sunday…I love it! I love the superficial tradition of getting new (family coordinating, of course) outfits and I love going to church to really focus on what our Savior did for us! I love that Quinn happily tells people that “Jesus is Alive” as we walk down the hallway at church…and I am so thankful that the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead also lives in me!
Our Easter Sunday started with fun and full Easter baskets! Quinn especially loved the bunny peeps (as you can see by his unprompted hug for them!),his new stuffed lamb (a.k.a Joshua from the Crippled Lamb) and other amazing goodies from Mammer & Slickpaw.
After getting all dolled up, we headed to church so that we could celebrate the most important part of Easter…
And, after a yummy steak lunch, we headed home to hunt more eggs! After that, and all of the other weekend festivities, we were exhausted! And, we all three found our new Easter gift from Mammer & Slickpaw (a rug for our dining room) a comfy place to relax! After Mammer & Slickpaw said goodbye, it was naptime for the Poe Fam. And, after naps, we had some fun paining Quinn’s new trains (his little Easter Thomas trains came with two to personalize…isn’t that cute!?!?) and enjoying some yummy Easter candy! … Lastly, right before bedtime, we decided to plant some of the jelly beans that we had hunted that afternoon! … (thanks to Wendy’s precious idea)
With flashlight in hand, we dug a hole, placed the jelly beans inside, covered them up, and watered them!!!…
The next morning, a very anxious little boy couldn’t wait to see what his jelly beans had grown into!!! …
Needless to say, he was shocked and SUPER excited….especially when I told him he could eat one with breakfast! :) Can’t wait to do it all over again next year! Happy Easter!!!
