We started out our A week by getting out LOTS of ABC books. I had Quinn open all of them and try to find the A’s. He did a great job!!! He thought it was so cool that so many of his books had A’s in them! :) And, we finally pulled out this precious book that Quinn got for Christmas. He loved building the letter A and LOTS of other letters too!
Then, we kicked off the week with a field trip! First, it was to Target to try to find an astronaut! And, we found the coolest one…
Then, it was off to the most amazing park I have ever seen. We had heard about the “space park” before but had never been. And, since it was a perfect day, we took our lunch and were ready to pretend to be astronauts!
Sadly, Quinn was not as excited about the park as I was. He suddenly became very apprehensive about EVERYTHING! I was super frustrated and tried not to show it! We played for about 30 minutes…which was probably 20 minutes too long…considering my “astronaut’s” attitude. And, I called Matt as we drove home…telling him that we would all be coming back soon to try to tackle some of these silly fears!
So, the next morning, we came back…and, it was like we had a different kid! DADDY WAS MAGIC!!! Q had MORE FUN! He slid down the huge slide {BY HIMSELF} THREE TIMES!!!! I was so proud! And, he loved pretending to be an astronaut (& an alien) with Daddy!!! My scared little guy from the day before had become SO adventurous!!!
Then, that evening, we headed to ANOTHER field trip…the Allen American’s hockey game! Quinn LOVED finding the A’s all over the place and had a blast at the game!
Quinn was absolutely adorable at the game (I’m sure the cotton candy, coke, popcorn, pizza and M&M’s helped his Fun-o-meter!!!) and was super affectionate with us and some of his favorite people! What a fun field trip!
And, it was super great night for our church! Since it was “Faith & Family Night” at the game, our church was featured…our worship team got to sing between periods and our church logo was often flashed around the stadium! Cool, huh!? We got to applaud ALOT for our sweet church! :)
Also, we did all of our normal fun things…
Bembo’s Zoo, Starfall.com, our songs, book (This week it was Apple Annie), craft, little worksheet, and more!!! Quinn still LOVES it all…And, I was amazed at how excited he was to find A’s around our world this week! He would get SO excited every time he would find one…and, I RARELY prompted him to look! I loved that!!!
We added some Dr. Jean songs to our playlist this week, too! We had so much fun with The Alligator Chant and 5 Little Monkeys (which has an alligator that comes to get them!!!)
Instead of a A lunch this week, we did an A breakfast! Quinn thought the ants crawling around his food were SO fun!…
We also did our own version of “ants on a log” for dessert one day…YUMMY!…
Last, but not least, I had Quinn show me (with his precious bed head) some faces that start with A…
Angry… and adorable…
The first one needs some work, but I’d say he’s got adorable down pretty perfectly! What a fun week with my little man!!!

Love those pictures! I also think it's so funny that sometimes (though you are more creative than me) our brain thinks the same. I had Creighton act out adjectives and verbs that start with our letter of the week last week too! Must be those Baylor classes! Thanks for all your ideas.
Adorable! I love your letter of the weeks, that is why I love your blog, such great ideas! Where is the space park? I'm in the Murphy/Wylie area and would love to take my sons:)
A-dorable!!! Quinn is seriously so cute!
Brittney where is this park?!?! I so need to take Caleb because he LOVES space stuff!!
