“So, like a forgotten fire, a childhood can always flare up again within us.” ~Gaston Bachelard

Boats 011This evening, I went to get us Bueno, and when I got home I had two very enthusiastic boys wanting to show me something. So, they rushed me outside, pulled leaves off of our bush and ran to the curb. Then, I watched as they carefully bent over the side of the street and placed their leaves in the running stream. Quinn excitedly explained to me that it was a boat that was floating away. He was so proud! And, I just loved that his Daddy took him out to teach him something so simple and sweet. Apparently, Matt liked this game as a child too…but, it involved his mom’s indoor plant and the toilet…and lots of flushes! :)  Boats 013 Boats 014 Boats 001 Boats 002 Boats 003 Boats 008

Hi Poe Family,
We have so many friends in common, but I don't think we've ever met. (I grew up in Abilene, down the street from the Panians. My maiden name is McGlaun.)

Anywho...I just wanted to say that I love peeking in at your blog. The photos are just beautiful! I especially love the puddle pics. Precious!
