Open House: Quinn’s Nursery

Open House

***

"Let him sleep...For when he wakes, he will move mountains."

— Napoleon Bonaparte

What time is it, might you ask? Time to show you Quinn’s baby room! Why? … Quinn's Nursery 013 …because, these boxes arrived at our house today! And, inside these boxes contain a big boy bed and nightstand!!!!…This weekend, we plan on accomplishing the task of making Quinn’s nursery a “big boy room!” It’s bittersweet! … So, before we made the transformation, I wanted to show off his nursery one more time!!!…Quinn's Nursery 001 Come on in! …This is the view from the door!…Quinn's Nursery 002

And now, a clockwise tour!!!…To the left is Quinn’s locker. (full of sheets, unused picture frames, a humidifier, a bubble machine and more!) Around the locker are fun sports numbers, a hand painted basketball print from a friend and Quinn’s soccer stool. Directly to the right of that is the “Q” collection. It has grown since we brought him home and will continue to grow. I plan on hanging most of them together when we re-do the room. So, it’s going to be on a bigger wall and make even more of a statement. … My favorite “Q” will forever be the old red one. This is the one he took pictures with so many times and will hopefully be included in photo shoots for years to come! …

Here’s his sweet bed. The one that was given to us and lovingly painted by Quinn’s Daddy when Q was still in my tummy! The bedding was bought before we even knew Quinn was a boy and seems to be a little droopier than almost 2 1/2 years ago! … To the right of the crib is a little table that always houses a lamp and Quinn’s bedtime books. Next to that is our faithful glider. My heart breaks at the thought of moving it out, but it’s time. We’ll now read stories snuggling together in Q’s big boy bed. I have rocked Quinn COUNTLESS times in this sweet chair and will cherish the next few nights that I do! :) …Above the chair is anther little locker, more “Q’s,” and some fun shadowboxes. To the right of the window is Quinn’s dresser. Even though it won’t be the same color as his bed and nightstand, I still think it’s a pretty piece and will look great in his new room! Above the dresser is the priceless scoreboard. I think it’s the coolest thing in Q’s room. My dad found it for us and we love that it’s so unique. After Quinn was born, Matt quickly changed the numbers to his birthday. But, “home” had to be winning, of course!:) … to the right of the scoreboard is Quinn’s jam-packed closet! A stylish wardrobe for a stylish little guy! …

This part of the room will change completely! It’s time to get rid of the changing table and quilt hanging on the wall! But, sadly, the diaper champ will have to stay! We aren’t progressing as quickly as hoped on that potty training! :) …Quinn's Nursery 010 We love Quinn’s room! It was so fun to decorate and the memories that have been formed in this room are priceless. I know that Quinn appreciates all of the cool things in it and am thankful that his love for sports allow us to carry most of the decor to his big boy room! So, I hope you enjoyed the little tour through Quinn’s sweet room…and, stay posted for a very proud “big boy” very soon! …Quinn's Nursery 012

Yes so cute!! Love the Q's on the wall--I started a wall for Charlie and then had to move her crib and never hung them back up...need to get on that! Excited to see how he does!

Great nursery! Love the 'q' wall and the changing table. The red baskets really pop against the dark finish.
