On Sunday, we were invited to spend the evening with lots of fun church families to hop on board a Catamaran. So, we traveled a mere 20 miles down the road and ended up at the coolest marina. It was shocking that I felt that I was on vacay and we were so close to home! …And, needless to say, Q was SUPER excited! He couldn’t wait to ride the big boat….and it would be his first time in a boat and on a lake! … We were greeted by TONS of ducks…a perfect welcome for my little man… And, then we boarded the boat…the Chamonix II. SUPER COOL!!!… We sailed for a short while before we anchored and swam in the lake. Q strapped on his life jacket and got in the water with Daddy. Bless Daddy’s heart…it’s a lot of work swimming in a lake AND holding up a semi-freaked out toddler. …But, Q did good! It wasn’t as fun as a pool to him, but, as soon as he got out, he couldn’t wait to get back in. He slid off the boat’s slide and into Daddy’s arms. They were cute to watch! …And, I stayed on dock to be ready fro him when he had had enough…and it was a good excuse to not get in the icky lake water! :)…
Look at my precious BIG boy in his life jacket…don’t mind the yucky lake mold on it…ick!…
After all of that swimming, it was time for snacks and sailing fun! We danced to the MOST fun party mix, drank fun drinks, and hung out with friends…
…but after a short while, the storm HIT! And, it was CRAZY!!!! We were soaked (until we realized there was plenty of room to stand under the covered areas) and hoped that it would pass that we could enjoy the rest of the evening……and, thankfully, it did pass! And, then it was time for more food, more dancing, and more fun!!!…
Even though we were on the boat until well after 10, and even though Q did request to go “nigh-night in my bed” a few times, he was such a little love. He would snuggle and kiss me 1,000 times…my neck, cheeks, shoulders, arms, nose, lips…it was darling! And I loved EVERY moment! …
The night ended with more sailing and some yummy ice cream that came in real fruit skins…Q and I shared a pineapple one and a mango one…and Matt had a coconut one in a real coconut shell. YUM! …
What a fun night!… Full of great times and fun memories! We are so thankful that the York family allowed us to be a part of such a unique evening! And, I’m sure we’ll laugh at Q’s future expectations of a boat ride! I don’t know if this boat experience can be beat! …

Looks like a great time! You got some many wonderful pictures! It’s too funny because I live very close the marina you guys were at. I’m right off 121 and Legacy in The Colony. It’s a small world. I love reading your blog and have even shared it with my friend who just had a little boy.
