Those of you that know me, know that I am an AVID planner! I love to plan!!! So, it is probably no surprise that I started planning Quinn's 2nd birthday party around Thanksgiving. It was on the way to San Angelo that I brainstormed the theme with my mom in the backseat of the car. ...And, ever since, I have been so excited to throw my baby boy an ALPHABET themed 2nd birthday bash! ....And, planning it was too much fun...from the invites, to the decor, to the stations, to the favors...I had a blast!
The fun T-shirt that Matt created...if you look closely, many of Q's favorite things are inside the Q!!! He loves finding it all!!!...
Here is a glimpse at the stations that we had at the party! But, this is before they were swarmed with precious little people...{And, I don't think the pictures do it justice...it was so much cuter when you could see it all at once and hear the fun music playing!}
And, here is Quinn's Q collection from his room that decorated the tables...
The food at the party included 20 pizzas (provided by Slickpaw...thank you, Slickpaw!), IBC Root Beer, Water, plenty of Capri Sun, cupcakes and cake to your heart's content and lots of ABC snacks!!! (Alphabits, Letter Cookies, Scrabble Cheez-its, and Skittles)
One of the fun things about planning Q's party was giving everyone an alphabet assignment. Each invite had a circled letter, and that guest was to come representing that letter! Even though I thought it was a fun idea, I didn't think many would participate...but I WAS SO WRONG! I was super impressed by the creativity that came out in so many of Quinn's guests!!! Such good sports....here are a few of the almost 80 people that came to celebrate with Q...
I is for Ice Cream and IPod!...
X is also for X's and O's...
P is for Precious Porter with his Passy
Y is for Yellow
P is for Purdum's in Pink
G is for Green and Gbaby (in Cara's GROWING tummy!)
B is for Bundled up BABY! (Q's youngest guest...and Christopher's first party!)
C is for CRAZY! (ok, maybe they weren't assigned that, but they should have been!)
T is for the T Team! (There were more of them, but I never got a whole group picture! So great!)
E is for Ellie & Emerson dressed in Elmo! (and duct taped E's...gotta hand it to 'em for participating!)
H is for High Fives for Q's great-grandma Mimi! What a special treat to have her there!
S is for SUPER SUTTON!...
Then, it was on to more playing!!!....
After the party was over, the fun didn't end! It was clean up time...and Uncle Brooks stayed with the "Q Crew" to help with everything! The most fun part was deflating the bounce house...
