Practicing Bravery

"Bravery is being the only one who knows you're afraid!"
-Franklin P. Jones
Today we took our first playgroup "field trip" to the Heard Museum to see Dinosaurs ALIVE! I had a feeling that the boys would be a little scared but think it was pretty cool at the same time...and I was right! (for the most part) When we started on our nature walk, and saw the first dinosaur, Quinn immediately started saying "no...bye bye dinosaur...huck you, Momma!" He wasn't a fan and clung to me for dear life! And, when the dinosaur would move and growl, he squeezed tighter. But, after running on the path with his buddies, he warmed up a little to the crazy big creatures! He held tight to his little dinosaur that we got in the gift shop and would make the funniest curious/concerned faces when we'd get close to a new one! ...Sutton (the baby of the group) was the bravest of them all and would walk up to them with NO fear! I was SO super impressed! ...Overall, it was a perfect outing...the weather couldn't have been better, the boys had a blast running up and down the trails, we got some cute pics, and the mommies still got to chat! ...I so look forward to our next exciting field trip!

Sutton the Brave...

"Bye bye Dinosaur!"...

Carefully walking up to the next big creature...

Sweet friends...

"BIG one"... Q would say...
When we got in the car, Quinn was talking about the "BIG dinosaurs" and how they were "cary" (scary)... but the next word out of his mouth was "fun!" I'd say it was a successful outing!

P.S. Alli, Kara and Cara...you were missed! Can't wait to hang out soon!

So cute! My boys would have had the same reaction. It is so fun that Quinn has lots of little guy friends to grow up with.
