Series of Unfortunate Events

Well, it's 9:11 p.m, my baby is down for the night and I am EXHAUSTED! Let's just say that the week leading up to/of Halloween is our "unlucky" week...not that I believe in luck, but, if I did, this would be the reason to. Yesterday, while mom and I were out shopping around Abilene, Matt, Dad, and Q stayed home to watch the Cowboys game. At about 1, I got the phone call that Q had gotten sick. GREAT! I immediately start freaking out...First, I think...I hate it when he gets sick, and then I'm quickly selfishly thinking that I DO NOT WANT IT!!! Matt put Q down for a nap, Mom and I came home, and I debated staying in Abilene until Wednesday (since my mom and dad are coming here on Wednesday for a doc appointment). After going back and forth, and feeling that Quinn was acting just fine after waking from his nap, we loaded up the car and headed home. ...

Sadly, less than an hour into our trip, Quinn got sick...and did again every hour until we got home! Miserable! Sad! Gross! Bless his heart...at one point, while I was sitting on the side of the road holding my diapered only baby, he looked at me and said..."Mommy, medice...medice, Mommy!" (that's Quinn's word for medicine!...he just wanted to feel better!) ... Matt drove like a crazy man, and got us to our front door in record time. It was 7:30 and Quinn went straight to bed!

Then, at 11:30, he woke, saying, "Mommy...no...nooo...Mommmy!"...proceeded by sickness...and then the same story at 12:45! I moved my pillow and monitor to the guest bedroom and slept there...Q woke up numerous times in the night, but never got sick again! PRAISE JESUS!

We've had an ok day...in jammies all day...Quinn progressively feeling better but needing Momma all of the time...eating every cracker in sight...and some applesauce...and a few Recees Pieces! (What can I say, he needed something yummy!) ... Matt and I are both trying to talk ourselves out of feeling yucky...so please say a prayer that we'll stay well! We DON'T WANT IT!!!! We're praying that we all wake up feeling 100%!

And, if you're wondering about our unlucky week...this week last year, Matt's grandmother passed away and Matt and Q both had the stomach bug! What are the odds!!?!?

Here's my little Cracker Monster!!!...

And, tonight, while reading a ridiculous amount of books to Q, he pointed to this picture and said..."Jesus!!!" Sweet little man! I guess it does kind of look like the Jesus he sees in pictures!?Bless his precious heart...surely Jesus understands that he isn't calling him a monkey! ;)

bless his sweet heart...both of my girls had it last weekend and it was TERRIBLE! it seems to be going around, but luckily my hubby and i didn't get it! hope you two steer clear of it, too, and that quinn feels better soon!

oh, and i don't know if you've heard about how coke helps tummy troubles, but click this link if you want to read about it - http://adventuresofgooseandpeanut.blogspot.com/2008/10/when-it-rains.html. it REALLY does work! :)

Oh, that stinks. It's so hard when they're little and get sick. Not that it's easy when they're big and sick, but at least they learn to run for the bathroom. I hope you stay well!
