New Found Appreciation

On Saturday night, Matt got a phone call saying that "emergency" help was needed in the Children's Ministry on Sunday morning. So, with my parents in town, Matt responded that we would all help! To our surprise, Quinn's class was the one that needed the most help...and we were so excited! How fun to be able to see your baby playing and interacting with all of his friends! (And, since he doesn't have the easiest time in his class, I thought it would be a nice change for him too!) ... Needless to say, 11 one year olds for almost 2 hours is A LOT of work! It doesn't matter how many hands your have in there...more are always welcome! ...The kiddos were SO cute and SO busy! I have a new appreciation for his sweet teachers and you can be sure that they'll be getting a big Christmas gift from Q this year! After some tears, lots of smiles, songs, a little Bible lesson (thanks, Mom), 9 diaper changes, a sweet snack time (where my baby ate about 5 cup fulls of Cheerios!!!), and lots of playing, sliding, running and building, the mommies and daddies started coming to round up their little ones. What a fun and unique opportunity! ...one that I'd be happy to do again...and, Quinn's Slickpaw said he'd do it every week if they lived here! :)

Aren't you impressed with how they all sit for their snack! It just amazes me that my baby sits in a chair at the table and eats his snack! It was so precious and so quiet while they all ate! Such a sweet little memory that I'll never forget! ...

If I'm the teacher, these two boys are my teacher's pets...I love Cruse and Quinn!!!...

This was the choice entertainment for a while. They had each found two handles and were shaking and shaking...the cabinets were locked, but it still made a really cool noise! :) ...

Peek-a-boo...

Having fun with buddies...look at my little man's sweet face...
This precious little girl was ATTACHED to my dad! It was hilarious! She was really upset when her parent's dropped her off but quickly calmed down with Slickpaw! If he put her down, she would scream...and he LOVED every minute of it!!!...

THE END!!!

so fun....Brent and I taught the two year olds for two years before we had C! One of the hardest, most rewarding jobs!

It looks like everyone had a good time. All the little kiddos sitting at the table is so cute...isn't it amazing what they will do for a snack?
