Goin' to the Chapel

This past weekend, Matt, Q, Kia, Krozby and I traveled to Wimberley, Texas for our brother-in-law's surprise graduation from Texas State University! (see previous post!!) One of the highlights of the trip was staying in this amazing chapel that has been renovated into a home! In 1914, this building was a little baptist church near Brownwood. And, when it was bought by the owner and moved to Wimberley in 2000, it had three remaining members. The owner has done such an amazing job at making it a wonderful place to stay...and has kept all of the original structure and hardwood floors. I just loved it! Matt's parents kindly let us have the upstairs loft...and it was amazing! We had a king sized bed and a dreamy bathtub that was in its own little room! The lighting from the stained glass window was so relaxing...Q even took his first official bubble bath (complete with Mr. Bubbles) in the huge, porcelain tub! The majority of our weekend was spent relaxing in the house and on the back porch while staying in our jammies as long as we could. So, if you need a little weekend get-a-way, it's the place to go!
Peek-a-boo...

Thank you, Pawpaw and Nana, for letting us stay at this amazing place with you! Quinn had so much fun and so did we!

Hi,
I'm a visitor from Cara Carroll's blog! I just wanted to say I adore the "old church" tub pics! They are awesome! I love the lightening behind the tub. My best friend's husband runs the golf course there in Wimberly...so I'm a little partial to that area. Isn't is beautiful?
