Spider-Quinn, Spider-Quinn...

When Grammer and Slickpaw bought these jammies for Q, Matt couldn't have been more excited! I'm not much of a 'character' person...but I always said that underwear and jammies could be the place where our kids got their 'character fix.' And, even though Quinn has NO idea who Spider-Man is, he tricked us. He was everywhere as soon as we put them on (hence the blurry pics) and just knew that he was cool! ... Those marketing people are smart...they know that those little boys that used to wear "Underoos"(*see footnote) are now big boys with little boys of their own...and those little boys HAVE to have them!

*Underoos are children's cartoon underwear. Underoos is a brand of the Fruit of the Loom company. Some were produced as a costume of a character and others were merely a matching set of briefs and a t-shirt with a logo printed on the shirt. The product was introduced in 1979. Underoos was unique in several respects. It was the first time children's underwear was sold as a set consisting of one top and one bottom. It was the first underwear to use cartoon characters. But, not only were the cartoon characters depicted on some Underoos, the basic set allowed a child to become the character by dressing in a superhero uniform.

Matt, totally thinking that he was Superman in his Underoos!... Circa 1980

Check out those quads on Superman (wink wink)

Gotta love the underoos. Remember how cool the Wonder Women one's were for girls because they were like wearing a training "bra". Unfortunately, my mom never bought me a pair because she said I didn't have anything to "train".
