Two Months Old

My Sweet Baby Boy,
Two months have now passed since your birthday and it has happened -- I love you more than I could have ever thought possible. When I look at you and at how perfect you are, I am still amazed! Will I forever feel this way? I thank God daily for you and for the mommy that He wants me to become. I know that, even thought I'll make many mistakes, He is going to give me the wisdom and the strength that I need to help you grow into an amazing man of God.

During this past month, many exciting things have taken place. Your first Sunday at church was also the day of your baby dedication. Being there with you, as all of your grandparents stood by, was so very special. We all prayed over you and the man that you will be. I can't wait until the day that you ask Jesus into your heart. I am already praying that you accept Him young so that you'll have your whole life to love Him and know Him more.
We also celebrated our first Mother's Day. It was so much fun to be a mom on such a special occasion. Thank you for helping Daddy make it so priceless --- I will look forward to dancing to our song at your wedding one day.

The hardest part of your second month was that I had to go back to school. even though it was just 11 days, it was so hard to say goodbye to your precious face each morning. When 3:00 came each afternoon, I couldn't wait to get in the car and race home to hold you. I think that this time proved to me just how deeply I love you and it reminded me of how blessed I am to not have to go back next year. Being your mommy is my dream job, for sure!

As you have grown this month, your personality has started to really show. While Daddy was singing the "Sunshine Song" to you in the floor of our study, you smiled for the first time. We were so thankful to both be there for this precious first. Since then, we have loved seeing you smile. You always smile for kisses and at your peacock toy --- we love it the most when you smile at us for no reason at all. It makes us feel so good! We could stare at you all day just to see one precious grin.
Baby Quinn, you melt my heart --- from the way you use my hair as your security blanket to the way you "click" at me when you're hungry --- I can't get enough. I love you dearly and look forward to another month to love you more!

XOXO and smiles too,

Your Mommy
