Friends are family you choose for yourself.

Even though I am an only child, Baby Quinn will automatically be born having 3 extra aunts. My sweet high school best friends threw me the most amazing shower in Abilene this past weekend. I was truly humbled by the work that they did to spoil me and my precious baby boy. They are the most amazing 'forever' friends that a girl could ask for and I feel so blessed that our friendship truly has never died....and I KNOW for a FACT that it never will. I can't wait to introduce Baby Quinn to them in a few weeks! He will love them dearly! The table with lots of my baby pics and yummy cakes from McKay's! (If you're from Abilene, you know that they can't be matched!) The sweet baby feet pic in the middle was one of my gifts from Sarah...it looks precious in my house and makes me smile each time I see it! I need all the help I can get!!Two Great-grandmas to be!
Molly helping me with my new "hooter hider!" Is that not hilarious? Go to http://www.bebeaulait.com/ if you need one! My sweet pregnant friend, Laura Sue! Read her amazing story on her blog...http://ourlovematthewandlaura.blogspot.com/My favorite gift! ...My sweet friends decided that we needed to continue a "picture tradition" that we've had at each of our weddings! So, we had to start our new tradition at the shower by taking a specific pic with the pregnant tummy! (see pic below...Obviously the pregnant one will be in the front!) One day, we'll have phase three of the picture tradition...holding our sweet babies! I can't imagine! Crazy Molly...she loves babies more than anyone I know!!!Baby Quinn's one and only, Grammer!

A small glimpse at the gift table. There are lots more gifts under and around...I couldn't back up far enough to get them all!!!

and now...

Things are really wrapping up around my house this week! Since I'm on Spring Break, I'm working hard to really organize Quinn's stuff and make lists of the things I still need. I've run lots of errands (got his laundry hamper, more diapers, took his baby bag to get embroidered, made a few returns, etc.) and feel that I've accomplished a lot! We went to the doctor yesterday and I'm actually barely dilated to a one!!! AHHHH! Can you believe it!? The doc is still thinking that I'll be a week early and that he'll come on his own! She even said,...and I quote..." I think you're going to have a nice little vaginal delivery!" HA! That was a thought I'd like to stop having!!!... I did my first load of baby clothes laundry yesterday...it smells so sweet and was so fun to fold! Maybe that is my key for loving laundry!!? We'll see after thousands of loads!?!?!? ... I'll take pics of his room this week! It's SO close to being finished! Just a few more touches to go!

We were so happy to throw that shower for you and "our nephew"! We already love him so much!! I think that folding soft baby clothes might make me like laundry too...hmmmmm. Anyway, I'll be seeing you in a few short weeks when you have that "nice little vaginal delivery" your doctor so graphically described. ha!!
Love you! :)

Don't you just love how baby Dreft laundry detergent smells? We are sooooo excited. Wow, the girlfriends become more beautiful each year.

We wanted to be there so much, but so glad Grammer was there to represent the Grandmothers. Grammer, we need to get rested up.

We have cleared a 3 week block of our calendars and Bethanie called yesterday to ask when we were going up. Derin & she want to be there as well.

We love you so much and pray for a blessed delivery.

Love, Nana, Grandpa, Aunti Bethanie, Uncle Derin

Wow! I missed the story about the "nice little vaginal delivery!" I feel a little wrong for typing that just now. Well, we need to brace ourselves, because "when Quinn the eskimo gets here, everybody's gonna jump for joy!" Am I your stupidest friend? I think prolly so.
