This year, my big boy's birthday fell on Easter Sunday. According to the charts we found, it won't happen again in his lifetime. So, he thought it was the perfect opportunity to have an Easter themed party. Since there was no school on Good Friday, we had his party on Thursday, March 24th...but, since he chose a Glow in the Dark theme, it had to start late.
We waited until the sun was almost down to start the festivities...and, as soon as friends arrived, the glow-stick craziness began.
Once the party started, things were a bit of a blur. There were LOTSSSS of kids with LOTSSSS of energy! Matt and I were just praying that no one left hurt...and that no one got lost! It was all a bit stressful. There were games scattered around and kids making up their own games. NUTS!!! But, there was no denying that everyone was having a blast!
After what seemed like a small eternity, we gathered everyone for the group pic and to have some sweets. Please take note of Quinn accidentally puncturing the glow stick with his teeth while we were singing Happy Birthday to him. I was crying I was laughing so hard!!!...
After too much sugar, there was some more play time before the glow-in-the-dark/flashlight egg hunt began.
The egg hunt consisted of 500 eggs. Each kid could find 1 glowing egg and about 12 more. There were also 4 golden eggs that came with special prizes. They scrambled and found them all in no time.
Quinn is sure loved by so many people and we really couldn't believe that all but 1 friend that he invited were able to come! He declared it the best party ever!
Needless to say, this Momma was glad to call it a success and, when we got home super late, we all slept well! Quinn woke up the next morning excited to dig into his mountain of gifts! It was a great party...and, we'll never do one like it again! ;)

Happy to know about this enjoyable birthday party. My father's friend booked one of the exquisite Chicago venues for his daughter's wedding last month. Attentive staff and quality catering was impressive. Even the royal interior with complementing decorations were praised by everyone. It was a wonderful and superbly managed ceremony.
