First Day of {3rd grade & Pre-K} School 2015

I don’t know how, but I failed to post the greatness that is the First Day of School! Both of my boys shared a first day this year (August 24, 2015) and were equally excited to get there. (Praise the Lord...last year, there were too many tears from our 2nd born!)

They, as always, appease me and smile for way too many pictures while holding my soon-to-be-uncool sign. And, I, as always, become a little too emotional and miss them a little too much on that first day. I feel tears in my throat all day long and pray extra prayers...all while counting the minutes until itís time to go and get them.

{Quinn Davis Poe: my handsome 8 year old 3rd grader}

{Nash Baylor Poe: my darling 5 year old Pre-Kindergartener}

I have no doubt that this adoring little sister is going to miss them every day...and, I'd say the feelings are probably pretty mutual...

Slickpaw clicked this great shot as we were heading to the car...

First, it was time to take Quinn. Iím so thankful (and a little shocked) that he still holds my hand through these halls...and has no shame in it.

And, we counn't be happier with his teacher. It's going to be a great year!!!

 Taking picks and stealing hugs while he still lets me...

Then, it was Nasher's turn. There was a little apprehension but this teacher was his precious Preschool teacher when we moved here and just moved up to the (Pre) Kinder class. She couldnít be more amazing and we couldnít be more blessed to have her again!
Lots of familiar faces in his class made the good-bye not so bad...

Then, on September 14th , Mommy and Bliss started a new journey. We both had our first day of “school." I was given the opportunity to help out at Nashís school for about 4 hours, 4 days a week. I thought it would be perfect. It really wasn't much time and Nash loved that I could peek my head in his classroom from time to time. As much as I enjoy being with babies, nothing compares to being with my own baby. Even though she got better quickly, I couldn't stand the times I could hear her cry and could do nothing to help her. So, after only 14 school days for me and 8 school days for Bliss, we called it quits! God provided another way for me to make a little extra money that didn't require me to leave my baby girl. Looking back, I'm thankful for the growth it brought and thankful that He answered prayers so quickly. Those 14 days may have caused more tears than I'd care to admit.
Regardless, we had our first day of school...and that deserved pics...

Since we're already 9 weeks in, I can say that school is in full swing and it's off to a crazy busy start. But, we're welcoming it all with open arms! Happy Back to School! (2 months late!)

So lovely post!! The first day of my daughter’s Phoenix pre-k was also fun and enjoyable. I thought it would be hard for her but there were some neighborhood children in her class so she didn’t cry.
