Before our Summer comes to an end, I have to recap our “vacation” this year! We took a little “Tour of Texas” and did lots of fun things and made lots of sweet memoires. It sure is fun traveling with my little family of FIVE!!!
First stop: Allen, Texas
We had a MEGA Sleepover with our precious friends! Our kids didn’t miss a beat from the last time they’d seen one another…and I’m so thankful that time with them is like being with family. Everley and Bliss were quite the girly pair. I hope my sweet girl grows up to be just like her big-girl friend! Heck, I hope Nash marries her!Mommas can dream, right?
{In her first Matilda Jane…}
And, one evening, this girly was smothered with love and kisses by some of my faves…
It was a perfect few days and we’re already planning the next time!
Second stop: Tyler, Texas
Daddy was speaking at a retreat and we got to come along for the ride. We had fun staying in our cabin and exploring. Having a youth pastor Daddy sure is fun!
Third stop: Abilene, Texas
It’s always great to go home…and it had seemed like far too long since we’d been there. We did a little shopping, a lot of eating, had Bliss’ Sip & See, celebrated our 11th Anniversary and more. The boys always love being at Mammer and Slickpaw’s and Bliss loved her first visit, too!
Last stop: Baylor University, Waco, Texas
What’s a Texas tour without a “Sic ‘Em!?” We decided to go home via Waco so that we could say hi to where it all began and start brainwashing Bliss. We got some swag, visited the bears and swung on the swing. Baylor will always hold such a special place in my heart!
And, my crazy crew did GREAT for 988 miles! We had a good time in the car…snacking…singing…watching shows…playing games and more! It was a wonderful “Tour of Texas!”
