Are you ready for the LONGEST post of all time…with the MOST pictures you’ve surely ever seen!?! … If you said “yes”…welcome to re-living Quinn’s Fabulous Four Birthday Party with me…
It started months ago when Quinn decided that he HAD to have a bounce house party. We had attended one in December, and he was hooked!! Then, it didn’t take him long to decide that he wanted a Super Hero theme. So…it was time to plan…and, when it comes to finding fun details for parties, you’ll find no complaints from me! I LOVE EVERY MINUTE!
I scoured the internet for fun and easy ideas and (with the help of a three year old always looking over my shoulder) we found some REALLY cool things. He had DEFINITE opinions and would tell me what color…what size…how many…what food…what décor…and more! I’ve created a monster!!!!
A few weeks before the big day, it was time to send out the invites. Matt designed another cool invitation that suited the birthday boy to be…and, I decided to add a little “wow factor” to the envelopes using comic books Slickpaw had found for us!
{the back was SUPER cool too…but, too much personal info to share!…
you’ll just have to trust me!}
Then, for the month of March, I spent the majority of my free time on projects for Quinn’s special day. I cut…I glued…I crafted…and more!!! And, once again, I enjoyed EVERY minute!
Here’s a list of lots of the stuff we did to prepare…
I made capes! (with the help of my friend, Amy, and her sewing skills.)
I made tags for the capes using comic book pages.
I made a skyline. (with Slickpaw’s help with the exacto knife.)
I made lots of flags out of comic books.
I made Quinn’s name covered in comic book pictures.
I made paper chains out of comic books. (with Mammer’s help!)
I made “super hero word” sticks for the vases.
Matt & Quinn made cool super hero art for the tables.
I made boxes to serve as the stand for cupcakes.
I assembled favors.
…and more!
Surely I kept Hobby Lobby in business. I swear I went a dozen time over the course of 2 weeks. But, in spite of the fact that I knew I’d only have about 15 minutes to set up & lots of decorating restrictions, I was pleased with the result. It was perfect for my almost 4 year old Super Hero!!!
FINALLY, on March 25th, it was the DAY that Quinn had been anxiously awaiting. We all threw on our super hero T’s and loaded up the car (with WAY too many boxes) to head to Pump It Up!!!
Here’s a peek into the details of the party…
And, like I always say, I don’t think the pictures do it justice!!!

{darling cupcake toppers by my friend, Amy!}
Then, after our whirlwind setup, it was PARTY TIME!!! My super hero got all suited up in his cape and mask and was ready to greet his guests.

As soon as the arrived, they’d come back to the party room to find their cape and mask. It was cute seeing them get so excited to put them on. And, Quinn was SUPER excited that people were there for him!!!
After a quick instructional video and a treasure box trip, the kids lined up, said a big “Happy Birthday” to Quinn and walked to the first jumping room…
And, the fun NEVER stopped. There were kids in capes EVERYWHERE…and I could not have loved watching it more!! It was a darling sight…and everyone seemed to be having such a great time. Especially my birthday boy! He was on CLOUD NINE!!! Running and playing with different friends all of the time. I can only imagine the joy he felt to have so many people he loved there at the same time.

{I loved how their capes would fly up behind them when they slid!}
{Everyone got in on the fun!!!}

Mercy me…I love him…
After an hour an a half of jumping, running and sliding, it was time to move on to the party room. There were LOTS of sweaty, thirsty and tired little ones that were READY for cake.
And, Quinn was most excited about his Yoohoo! He loves it…
I’m sure all of these Mommies loved the fact that I ruined their kids’ lunch with donut holes and cupcakes…but, oh well! There were no complaints from the little ones in the room!
They were all so cute and I was so thankful that we had SUCH an amazing turn out. Very few that were invited were unable to make it…just look at all of Quinn’s darling friends…
”Happy Birthday” and cake time is always such a sweet moment. I always love watching Quinn soak it all in…

And, after everyone had their fill, Matt thanked everyone for coming and then Quinn decided that he would tell everyone thank you for coming and not to forget their “party inbitation!!” (He gets favors and invitations confused!) It was a darling moment…one of my favorite memories from the party. I loved how he YELLED it so confidently!…
He stood at the door and helped give everyone their Krypto activity book and bag of superhero candy. Everyone was excited…
It truly (just like the other 3 that we’ve had) was the perfect day for my birthday boy! I loved each and every moment and am so thankful for all of the friends that came to celebrate Quinn turning Fantastic Four! Is it too early to start planning FIVE!?

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G....you are so creative!!! What a blessing you are to your family!:)
**WOW** incredible!! U did fantastic.
I stumbled on your blog last year and love your creativity. My 5 almost 6 year old was on my lap today while I was checking out your blog and gasped with excitement and said I want a party just like that lucky boy. So looks like I am going to be copying some of your ideas and hope my superhero is as happy as yours when his 6th birthday roles around in a few months.
Kerpow! You did it...'super' job!!! We are scheduled to attend a superhero birthday party next weekend, and I made my little girl an Incredibles pillowcase dress; however, I wish I had a cool superhero t-shirt like yours to wear, too. Where might I find one?
You do amazing parties! I love that even at a party place, you manage to decorate and make it super fun. Happy birthday Quinn!
We had a blast! The sticker book and cape have been a huge hit over here! Love you!
