Days of the Week…{snap, Snap}

If you, like me, know who Dr. Jean is, I’m sure it isn’t hard to get her “Days of the Week” song stuck in your head. And, if you have NO idea who she is…just imagine the above words to the Adams Family theme. Are you singing it?… Is it stuck yet? … You’re welcome!

Anyway…lately, I feel like we’re doing all kinds of “Days of the Week” things around here. I’m quite the planner, so I don’t mind the way all of the following things make me feel a little more productive and a little more organized!

First off, I’m so proud to say that our family (for the last 2ish months) have become consistent vitamin takers. I haven’t consistently taken a vitamin since I was a little girl. {Nope…not even prenatals…*gasp!*} But, after getting FED UP with sickness, I thought it was time. We take lots…some aren’t pictured below…and, be it mental or not, I feel like they’re helping. And, I feel like a good wife and mommy!…Oh Quinn 020A few weeks ago we began our refrigerator countdown to DISNEY WORLD!!!!! We are ALL super duper excited and Quinn couldn’t quite grasp how much longer we had until we left. So, Matt made him a chart and he LOVES x-ing it off each day! With each “x,” I get more and more anxious! Oh Quinn 021
After much discussion, last week, Quinn started “chores” and the opportunity to earn a weekly allowance. We’re “those parents” that buy our kid WAY too mat\ny sussies at the store and needed something to refrain us from getting little things all of the time.

So, at the end of each week, if he’s earned all of his smiles, he’ll get $4. {One to save, one to give, and 2 to spend!} Granted, we’ve only done it for a week, but we love it! I think it’s going to be easy to change the chart with different chores as he grows and to increase his money with his age! I love that he’s learning about money and giving/saving at such a young age. Oh Quinn 023And, last but not least, here is my HUB (my Erin Condren Life Planner) …I think I’ll always NEED a calendar book to write my stuff in. First of all, I love to write with fun pens. Secondly, I want to keep it. …

But, this year, we’ve also started using Cozi Family! It is THE BEST!!! It is a free online calendar (that corresponds with an inexpensive iPhone Ap) that allows me to type everything in and it go to my and Matt’s phone. My favorite part is that each “appointment” is color coded for each member of our family! And, I love the “to do” lists too. I can make a grocery list, Matt can look it up on his phone and then he can pick up all of the stuff on his way home. Fabulous!

So, there ya go….our latest and greatest attempts to be organized and on top of things! It’s ALWAYS a work in progress!

Buchanan Fam, The chore chart is Melissa & Doug brand. I got it at a local teacher store, but I'm sure you can get it other places! Amazon has it too! :)

Capree,
The planner's month-at-a-glance starts in July...but the weekly pages start in November!

SO fun! When are y'all going to Disney? We're headed there in about a week with the Formans...any chance we'd run into each other? And I totally love all your organization finds...I swear we're cut from the same cloth ;).
