Old Mc Donald Had a Farm…Fa La La La La…

On Tuesday afternoon, the boys and I loaded up the car with our fun little “sussies” and headed to Alli’s for our annual Christmas playgroup! We were so excited to celebrate the REAL reason for the season with some of our favorite friends!

And, the fun time we had completely exceeded our expectations. There was lots of fun playing…mostly outside due to these crazy warm winter days…snowman cookie making…snacks…photo ops and more! But, our favorite part was making our “goat” ornament.

“Why a goat?!”

I’m glad you asked!!!

Instead of a gift exchange, we decided to put our money towards something special! So, we chose a goat through World Vision. Because of our sweet boys, there will be a very happy family this Christmas.

Here’s what that sweet goat will do…
Goats nourish hungry children and families with healthy milk, cheese, and yogurt. Goats also give a much-needed income boost by providing offspring and extra dairy products for sale at the market.
A healthy dairy goat can give up to 16 cups of milk a day. Goat milk is easier to digest than cow’s milk and is an excellent source of calcium, protein, and other essential nutrients that growing children need. Goats are practical animals — flourishing in harsh climates while producing valuable manure to fertilize crops and vegetable gardens.

Isn’t that amazing!? We were so excited to teach our boys about giving to others. And, we loved making an ornament to remind them of the fact that they GOT to be the hands of Jesus this Christmas as they gave the start of their very own farm! :)

Thank you, precious friends, for celebrating Christmas with us! It wouldn’t feel like Christmas without our time together!

And the icing on the cake was at the end of our time when Chapman’s daddy took all of the boys down the street to see the “Griswald” house. They were too darling…all bundled up and waiting for the train! Watching their excitement melted my heart!

Lastly, the most important part…the darling ornament that they made. Quinn painted the goat…helped me glue it all on…and used his finger prints to make the feet! Now he hangs proudly on our tree! I hope we give a whole farm by the time these boys are big! :)
