Quinn is going to have a BABY…

The day started with lots of questions… I woke up early…so anxious and excited to know what our family would be! It was going to be SUCH a big day!!! One that would forever change us!!! After I explained to Quinn what was going on and dropped him off at his best buddy’s house, I picked up Matt from work and we headed to the doctor. I smiled as we sang “Best of My Love” in the car on the way there!

Boy or Girl? If I had to guess, I would say girl…but, I wasn’t sure. Not like I was with Quinn. I KNEW that Quinn was a boy. But, this time, I guess I wanted a girl for me and a boy for Quinn. So, we got into the sonogram room and our sweet sonographer took our two stickers and put them on top of the sonogram machine. She said that as soon as she knew, she’d give us the correct sticker. …

She got my belly all ready, turned off the light, angled the screen so that we could see, and placed the wand on my tummy. In a matter of seconds (before Matt and I even got a good look at the baby), she flipped on the light, smiled and handed us the

“It’s a BOY”

sticker! I was shocked! Shocked that it was a boy and shocked that she could tell so quickly!And, as I watched our baby BOY wiggle and turn and move and squirm, I TRULY could not have been happier!

Our sweet baby was a BOY!!!

Matt and I kept looking at each other in disbelief and in awe of the miracle that was growing inside of me. We were so happy that Quinn had a buddy for life!!!

HE was perfect…the four chambers of his heart, his brain, his kidneys, his backbone and ribs, his stomach…she measured it all and said he was perfect. What a relief!

And, we could already tell that he was beautiful! Look at this sweet picture…

And this one…can you tell that his leg is all stretched out…just lounging…with a flexed foot! Made me laugh!… Here’s the first “money shot!”…

And, one that made his Daddy proud and made me gasp…goodness me!!!!…
Not a shy one, is he?!   Afterwards, we did a little photo shoot at the doctor’s office with our sweet announcement!!!… Then, it was time to go to Shannon’s to tell the Big Brother the big news! We had bought two onesies…a girly one and a boy one! When we got in the car from the doctor, we wrapped the boy one. And, just as I expected, Quinn thought we were coming home with a baby. He told Shannon, “Mommy’s here with my baby!” Cute little guy! …

Despite his short attention span on the subject, I think he got it. He seems excited! If he only knew how special he was going to be to his baby brother. He’s going to be such a hero to him!

The rest of the day was full of internet browsing for cool boy nursery stuff and sharing the news with friends and family! Everyone was so excited for us…which made it all even more fun!!! I can’t believe that I’m a
