Since Matt and I had a dinner to attend on the evening of our real anniversary, we planned to celebrate the day before. And, we didn’t want to do the “typical” dinner and a movie. So, we planned a super fun day!…First, we went with Q, Nana and Pawpaw to Amazing Jakes. We dined on a yummy buffet and had too much fun playing indoor putt-putt and games…Look at my cutie little surfer dude… How big does he look here? … *sigh*… Then, we said our goodbyes and ventured out for our “just us” anniversary date! It started at Sprinkles! A pretty good start to a fun day together…I got Strawberry and Matt got Red Velvet! YUMMMYYY!!!…Then, we went down the road to the movie. But, it wasn’t your normal theatre. The Inwood Theatre was full of super comfy couches, ottomans and HUGE bean bags. We watched Harry Potter on the big screen…but felt like we were in the comfort of our living room. Really, I don’t think I’ll be able to ever watch a movie any other way! It was perfect…and a fun movie, too! …
After the movie, we were hungry…and were so excited to try a quaint little pizza place that was recommended to us by Mock-a-Moly! At Olivellas, we sat at the cutest little table and dined on Sangria, salad, and yummy bacon, sun-dried tomato, mozzarella pizza. Different and yum.
We ended our evening with a little shopping at Northpark. We had great plans to get some ice cream at Orange Cup, but were way too full! …Next date! …. Then, on our real anniversary on Sunday, we went to church, at a gourmet Taco Bueno lunch and came home to put Q down. Then it was time for presents. We decided to go easy on the gifts this year…but had fun finding the perfect “Iron and Candy” gifts!!! (the 6th anniversary traditional gifts) I made Matt his favorite Peanut Butter Balls and got him 3 new “nice” T’s. (that need “ironing!”…it’s a stretch, but it works!) …He got me a Toblerone, the new Christy Nockels CD (LOVE IT!) and a curling iron. (I’ve been wanting a little one!)…
Then, before our dinner, we took our annual picture…the first few had a little booger in-between us…
But we ended with a pretty good one! …I love this man and am so thankful to have spent SIX years as his bride! …Can’t wait to see what the next year holds!
