“Why don’t you sit down and read!?” –Boz the Bear

Quinn has always enjoyed books! And, being a teacher, I am so thankful for that. For months now, we have read the SAME four books at bedtime. We cuddle up in his rocker with his blanket and passy and start the process. He loves them and always requests them. It always starts with “Jesus!” He loves to have me read a few stories from his Toddler Bible and always asks questions about the pictures. We’ve read through this little Bible at least 10 times and I love that his sweet little heart loves hearing the stories…0310714087-imageThen, we move on to the next three. They come in various order each night but always get read. One of them is the precious book, “I Love You, Stinky Face.” He loves the pictures and thinks that it’s so funny! I love reading it to him…ilovyouAnother is “Mommy Hugs!” He loves the bright illustrations and the counting. After a few months of reading it to him, we started reading it one night, and I would leave out words…and, to my surprise, he would fill them in perfectly. So, now I often let him read it to me…

{Sadly, I ran out of room on my camera at the very end…so it cut off the last page…I’ll get him to read it again to me soon!}…

He thinks the little boy in the book looks like him and he knows EVERY word to this story! I love to hear his precious voice “read” it to me and love that the voice inflections that he uses are the ones he’s heard me doing for almost 2 1/2 years! It melts my heart…just watch…it’ll melt yours too!!!…BABY_QUINN_Dad_2_05151aJ-b0Gq6L__SL500_

P.S. As Q has been reading, I took your advice and have been starting on a few new books of my own…I’m currently reading this fun one…UndomesticGoddess …and have these waiting in the wings!!!…

I pray that you don't take this the wrong way, because I genuinely admire you and your husband for your ministry both to the church and most importantly to your son. I suggest that you skip that Torri Spelling book and instead read something about a Godly woman who will help to inspire you and encourage your faith. I saw part of the Tori show once and sadly her choices in life do not bring glory to God. I pray for her and ask others to also so that she would know redemption through faith in Christ. I would like to please recommend the book, My Heart in His Hands by Sharon L. James. It is a biography about a most godly woman, Ann Judson and I truly believe you will be blessed by it. Sorry for this long comment. God bless you and your family.
