Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt

Yesterday, after my sweet little two year old woke up grumpy from his nap, I had to get creative before I strapped him in the grocery cart for a much needed shopping trip! So, I grabbed my list and googled pictures of some of the items that I needed! ...Then, I placed them all together and printed it to give Q something to keep him occupied as we rolled through the aisles! Thankfully, it kept him VERY happy and involved! ...And, I purposefully saved the BEST for last...PEEPS!!! He was so excited when he spotted them on the shelf! ... What a fun activity that I think I'll do again and again with my cart protesting toddler!

Em LOVES to do this too! And I love how excited it makes her to have such a big responsibility :o). Now, if we can just keep them excited enough to volunteer to do this little chore by themselves someday!

What a great idea - we will have to try that one out. We work on colors with my little one and letters with my big one at the store - that sometimes helps too.

That is a great idea. I try to tell Carter what we are looking for in each aisle so he can help out, but the pictures would make it so much better!

great idea! what a fun way to keep the kids entertained. i'm sure it would be even more effective with 2 kids who are screaming to get out of the cart. thanks for the cute ideas!!

I am always trying to figure out how to entertain two little ones in the store, so this is PERFECT!! Thanks for the idea!

that is a great idea! i think i'm going to have to try it. The grocery store is becoming more and more crazy as Kai gets older. It's exhausting! He likes to hold my list but refuses to give it back to me, which starts the fits. This hopefully could work great!

Such a good idea...I have been giving Hudson a pen and a "list" to try to keep him busy, but the photo list is just perfect! Thanks for sharing.
