Bless our hearts!!!!... Last night, our youth group had TACKY PROM! ...and were we ever tacky!!! I mean T.A.C.K.Y!!! It makes me sad that Matt and I didn't get to experience Baylor "functions" together, and things like this give us the opportunity that we missed! I have to admit that I cracked myself up. I wore one of Matt's absolutely awful wigs, horrible purple eye makeup, a dress that sadly resembled our high school concert choir formals (can I get an AMEN!?), my leopard gloves from my Senior year Winter Formal, and fish net hose. ...The kids (and adults) that came to the event didn't hold back either! EVERY single person outdid themselves with the most tacky outfits imaginable. We had a great time dancing to 80's hits, having our own version of "America's Best Dance Crew" and taking lots of fun pictures! By the end of the night, Quinn had called all of the blondies in the youth group "momma" and had to double take to make sure I was his momma countless times. He even got sick of it at one point and, while sitting in my lap, turned around, pointed to my wig and said, "Momma...off...see un-ner there!" Sweet boy! Thank you, Jesus, that styles have changed...but I'm so glad that we get to relive them during fun times like this!
