18 {well, really 19} Month Check Up

Since we had to reschedule Quinn's 15 month check up, we got a month behind...therefore, his 18 month check up really came at 19 months...none the less, it was a good one! Dr. G oohed and ahhed over how smart and verbal our little man was and how he really seemed to act more like a two year old than a 19 month old. (and I added in that his tantrums were more like a 2 year old sometimes too!) Quinn showed off for Dr. G...doing some great animal sounds, telling us to "read it" while handing us a book, and telling him "Bye Bye, Doctor" over and over...Quinn wasn't too sure he wanted him to stick around! ... Quinn HATED it when his ears got checked and screamed and screamed! Dr. G was so patient with him and took him to the window to talk about the things he saw outside to calm him down! It was one of those moments that just reiterated how much I LOVE our pediatrician! ...We got a little pamphlet on picky eaters, were told that we could start introducing the potty since Q seemed a little ahead of the game in other areas, and were reassured that his little pigeon toes were going to be just fine. Thank goodness he didn't say anything about Q's passy...I'm just not ready to fight that battle yet! ...And, Quinn was so brave for his flu shot and his hemoglobin test! He was very annoyed with the sparkly band aid they put on his finger but quickly got happy for his Mango Dum-Dum and sticker! ... We scheduled our next appointment for what will be a BIG Two Year OLD!!!! Hard to believe...

Height: 32.8 inches (70th percentile)

Head: 19 inches (75th percentile)
