"Small Town" Fun

Even though Abilene isn't really a small town at all (115,000 people), it feels like it...and that's why we love it. This past weekend, Matt, Q, the puppies and I headed to Abilene for some Two-Five stuff but had some fun with Grammer and Slickpaw too. ... Here's some of the reasons we love "small town" Abilene....
***
Downtown had lots of fun little things going on on Saturday...just because...so we went...
Q got to pet a snake at the public library...
...and listen and dance to a little gospel singing group...
...we got to hang out by the waterfall wall downtown...
...Abilene is so "small" that they named a buidling after me...Not really, but isn't this cool!?!?!...how did we all live in Abilene for so long and never see this!?!?...

Look in the circles at the top of the building...I'm famous...

...we hung out in the backyard...what else is there to do in "small town" Abilene...

...we found the names of ALL of the HSU graduates (since 1891) on a new structure on campus...See, Matt is famous too....but not famous enough to have his name on a BUIDLING...ha...

...we entertained ourselves by eating holes in tortillas and peeking through...

...and found photo ops anywhere and everywhere...even a regular 'ol staricase...

...we looked for "berts"... ...and, lastly, we took "siestas!" All of that "small town" fun will wear anyone out! >>>
Thanks Grammer and Slickpaw (or BaaBaa and WhoWho!?...more on that later!) for being the hostesses with the mostessess! We had fun!

I guess we never saw the BPOE building growing up because we didn't know that would be your name! Funny!! And, I love that Q is sporting the HSU t-shirt. Did you find my name on the wall? I HEART ABILENE! :)
