What a Man, What a Man, What a Man, What a Mighty Good MAN!

He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.
~Clarence Budington Kelland

What a great Father's Day weekend we had. It was fairly low key (praise the LORD!) and involved lots of swimming, lots of yummy food and lots of time just hanging out as Poefam3! I am truly amazed as I watch Matt with Quinn. He's so patient, so selfless, so loving and so fun! There is no denying that Quinn is head-over-heals in love with his Daddy...by the way he quickly walks to hug him, the way he yells his name as we're driving up to the church, and the way that he smiles at him. A Daddy/Son bond is truly indescribable...and I'm in awe of the way that I already see how special it is! ... When I woke up this morning, I said "Happy Father's Day" to Matt right away, and he immediately thanked me for making him a Daddy! What a special man Quinn and I have in our lives. We adore him!
Here is Matt reading Q the book that I made him. He loved it so much and it made me so happy!
Funny Story:
A while ago, I decided that I wanted to have Q's picture taken with Matt's college football stuff. So, I strategically had my dad get his helmet and football out of his office one Sunday when he was preaching. I thought he might notice it missing, but figured it was worth the risk. So, the next Monday morning, Matt noticed RIGHT away! He was livid! He accused dozens of people and couldn't believe that someone (even if it was a prank) would take something that only had value to him. So, as the week went on, he got more and more concerned about it. ... So concerned that he had a lock put on his office door (due to other things coming up missing too) and announced to the youth group that the culprit needed to fess up. At that moment, I raced home and safely returned the helmet and football to the correct shelf before Wednesday night youth service ended. (I hoped he would think that his guilt trip and caused someone to return it!) Anyway, as time went on, I think he might have started to suspect it was me, but he wasn't sure...so, it made the HSU pics even more fun to give today! He loved his baby boy with his gear and I loved the drama it caused! :)

Gurul. Sweet post. That story about the helmet it out of control. And omg--I laughed out LOUD at your comment asking if Ian and Eddie are dating now. Seriously. :)

Happy Fathers Day to Matt Poe and the PoeFam3. :)

Precious. I made one of those books for Benjie last year and I loved it- of course he did too! I wish I had time to make more of them, but they are very time consuming. It looks adorable!

Would you send me your email address? I wanted to ask you about your blog book!

SO cute! If I ever have a boy, I may just have to copy that idea about using daddy's old stuff in pics :o).
