Garage Sale

So, my parents have A LOT of stuff! They have lived in the same house since before I was born...therefore explaining their LOTS of stuff! Anyway, a few months ago, Dad proposed that if I help with a big garage sale, I could take home half of the earnings. So, when Matt was going to be Mr. Camper for 2 straight weeks, I found it the perfect opportunity. ...Matt left for camp on Monday the 16th. Q and I waved goodbye to the bus and headed to good 'ol Abilene. Almost immediately, Mom and I started going through cabinets, under beds and in boxes. We sorted, tossed, kept and labeled. We would end each day very sore and very FILTHY! I don't know if I've ever been so filthy...I had dirt behind my ears! ... All in all, it was productive! I don't think we made much of a dent in my parents stuff, but it had to have helped! I made some money, the garage looks better, and we found some HILARIOUS stuff!

This is a 'something' that dad got mom when they were dating...apparently, he was in trouble and this was an 'I'm sorry' gift!!!... As I was going through a box, I nonchalantly threw this in the trash pile! Mom gasped, picked it like it were gold, and told me that it was her positive pregnancy test for me! So, photo op it was...
Oh, I loved these girls! And, I would get SOOO excited when a SUPER SPECIAL came out!!! ...This box is full...
I loved me some "Beverly Cleary" too...
The shoes that mom wore for she and Dad's first Christmas...
Care Bears, Cabbage Patch Kids Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite...Loved them all!!!...We found all of my boxes from my Cabbage Patch Dolls and their birth certificates...my parents keep everything!!!....

Don't worry...I had the cassette tape that took me through this exercise book!!!...

Patterns that my Gackey (mom's mom) used to make mom's clothes...

Taking a break on the mini-tramp that we sold for $4.00!!!...

An old wine barrel (didn't sell), apple/cranberry crates (sold for $25.00) and Pumba(gave to Noah Project after the sale was over!) ...
Crazy Slickpaw kept Q entertained...
Our best salesman...he was the hit of the Garage Sale, for sure...
And he was filthy too!!!...

Wow - Get in Shape, Girl...Babysitters Club... I loved all that, too! So fun! That stinks about Quinn getting so sick. Poor little guy. Also, I was envious when I saw the picture in from of Hickory Street. I LOVE that place. The zucchini bread is the best.
