Sweet Mommy Moments

Yesterday, I experienced one of those "Mommy moments" that I hope and pray I never forget. Since I've been a little 'under the weather' for the past 3 days, I thought it would be fun to get Q out in his jogging stroller and go to our neighborhood park! He loves it outside and I thought that the sunshine and real air might be good for my stuffed-up nose! So, we strolled down to the park and had so much fun swinging, sliding and playing. I thought he was going to be crazy giddy about swinging and doing 'big boy things,' but he wasn't really all smiles about it. So, once we went down the slide together for the 3rd time, I lay down at the bottom and sat him up on my lap facing me. We probably sat there for 2o minutes...talking about the trees and the birds, sticking our tongues out at each other, making animal sounds, and just enjoying each other. (Since we were the only ones there, we were in no hurry to move!) He didn't want down and would frequently dive into my tummy, neck or chest to give me a big hug and a kiss. It was just priceless. I loved that he wanted to "just be" with his Momma...and, at that moment, it was the only place in the world that I wanted to be!

I love those moments too and they're becoming more sweet as the boys get older and are becoming more interested in exploring and being active!!
