Ok, regardless of how much I HATE those commercials, I LOVE Taco Bueno. I can't remember not loving it! In Abilene, I grew up with Bueno as my 6th food group! As a kid, we would go with our "sports quart" and get 3 free drinks with every meal. Then, as I moved on to CHS, it was 'the place' to be. We would eat there 3 or more times a week and have too much fun hanging out and laughing with friends. I have to admit that I even "skipped" school a few times to go out and get Bueno for 'the gang!' ...Such a rebel, I know!!! ... As I graduated and visited Baylor U, I remember seeing Bueno right next door to the campus and it sealed the deal! {Even though they moved Bueno way down Valley Mills right after I got there!:( } Then, when I met Matthew Poe, our first date consisted of Bueno, Red Bud Park, and watching the groundhogs...romantic, huh? {Taking a girl to a 'not nice' place on a first date was Matt's tricky way of seeing if the girl was shallow. Apparently he took a girl to McDonald's once and she was a total brat! Seriously, can you blame her? ...He had no idea that Bueno was my perfect first date dinner place...therefore, Bueno, once again, sealed the deal!!!} ...Then, as I became a grown up, Bueno has remained my favorite. Friends know that if they're coming over, and we're not cooking, that we're more than likely getting Bueno! Matt knows that it ALWAYS sounds good to me...I'll never turn it down. I loved it when I was pregnant and I love it when I'm not! MMMM MMMM!!! Anyway...all of this to say...tonight, my little man has his very own Party Burrito...and HE LOVED IT! What can I say...it must be in his blood!!! So, if you're ever in the mood for a Muchaco or a Mexi Dips and Chips, call us...we'll be happy to have lunch with you!
YUMMY, MOMMY!!!

As I read this post I couldn't help but think "You can take the girl out of Abilene but you can't take the Abilene out of the girl!!"
Of course my second thought was that Bueno sounds really good right now...thansk for prompting a craving!!
How funny!! This is totally us too!! Landen LOVES it! He always wants what he calls a Quesy-dia and cin -chips!! We eat there like once a week!!
Oh Quinn! You're SO lucky to get Bueno, it's one of the things I miss the MOST about Texas!
Thanks for posting...people don't understand how Bueno was THE hangout in Abilene! I just wish there was one up here!
I think I will now be getting bueno for lunch! The crunchy potatoe burrito is my favorite! If I were in Plano I would LOVE to join yall for lunch one day and meet the little Q man! :) adorable pics!
That's great! Way to initiate him! Addie loves Bueno too.
Hi Brittney! I found your blog through some other ones awhile ago but haven't said hi yet. So, hi!
Quinn is to die for cute, by the way!
I miss Bueno SOOO MUCH. I live in Seattle now, and every time I'm home, I eat it at least three times a week. Good thing I'm not in Texas all the time, or I'd be huge.

I googled Taco Bueno sport quart and your blog came up. Do you still have yours? and does your taco bueno still take it? I've always wanted one of those since there was no expiration date.
